All facile low blows aside, it seems that while the Catholic Church isn't accusing homosexuals of recruiting for new lifestyle converts, they're spending their time... recruiting lifestyle converts. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York is launching a full-tilt citywide ad campaign searching for new priests and the images of these brotherly pastors has us wondering if they're preying on the closeted gays. Meanwhile,
Pope Benedict XVI, in a visit to the United States this week, deplored
the sexually perverse actions of many of our nation's Catholic priests.
"It is a great suffering for the Church in the United States and for
the
Church in general and for me personally that this could happen," he
stated.
"It is difficult for me to understand how it was possible that priests
betray in this way their mission …to these children." All things
considered, it sounds like they could use an update in staffing. The
cryptic advertisements appear below.
