Tom of Finland Marks Territory with New Scent Last week, the Tom of Finland Foundation released a cologne to compliment the split-me-in-half pencil and charcoal figures that became so iconic in the 70s and 80s. The high-end musky scent features notes of metal and leather (on brand, at least), but you need to be over 18 to purchase it because, like, it's TOTALLY GOING TO GET YOU LAID. Of course, perfumers have long used sex and sexuality to appeal to men, so we thought we'd take a look back at some of the more suggestive releases from the past few decades.
1. Immensity (Les Parfums Immensity)
Having this in your bathroom cabinet is the equivalant of having Trojan Magnums on top of your nightstand. Unless you're Barrett Long or Brad Patton, you might be overhyping. 2. Gentleman (Givenchy) With top notes of cinnamon and tarragon, this sounds more like a bottom's cologne to us. We're thinking Victor Steele ... 3. English Leather (Dana for Men) RIP Kent North 4. Monsieur Musk (Dana for Men) A Raging Stallion exclusive? It's our nickname for Jake Deckard, anyhow. GRRRR! 5. Roma (Laura Biagiotti) This gender-bender has base notes of baby powder and lube, with middle notes of Rod Barry and Jack Ryan. No top notes given.
