 Cole Escola and Jeffery Self, under the moniker VGL Gay Boys, have made a small splash recently both on YouTube and Off-Broadway -- we've enjoyed their brief sketches on gay marriage and on getting Sex and the City tickets, not to mention the one wear Cole plays Bernadette Peters. Self's one-man show "My Life on the Craigslist" premiered earlier this year in New York. The duo are performing their live sit-com "Party 'n' Play" at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in NYC on August 31.
Recently, they sat down to answer a few questions for The Sword:
What was the first porn you ever saw?
Jeffery: We didn't have the internet when I first started masturbating.... so I'd resort to things around the house as porn. I remember stealing the 1999 edition of People Magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" from my grandmother's house. After that I started looking at chorus boys in the show program of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.... to this day I get a little hard anytime I hear the "Go, Go Joseph Megamix"
Cole: The first porn I ever saw was a jerk off video I downloaded from Napster in Middle School. I saved it on our family computer under the file name "Ethel Merman," because I knew nobody would open that up. Eventually my little brother found it and confronted me about it. I told him one of my friends must have downloaded it... and then saved it under the file name of Ethel Merman.
What is the grossest thing you've ever seen in the name of porn?
Jeffery: It would have to be fisting. Fisting really creeps me out. I don't like knowing that my body is capable of stretching that much. I've never tried it and I doubt I ever will. That said, if Sean William Scott or Matthew McConaughey wanted to fist me I'd probably let them. I'd also let Dixie Carter, but only for the story.
Cole: What's that fetish called where you stick a metal rod up your urethra? That's pretty fucked up.
Who is your number one gay porn crush?
Jeffery: Hands down Lucas on Corbin Fisher. He is my everything. For great examples of his work I recommend any videos with he and Dawson. Dawson is my second biggest gay porn crush, and I think he'd make a better boyfriend than Lucas. [ed note: We just noticed that Lucas also fucked our fave little gremlin Tory Mason once, though Tory is 'Adrian' on Corbin Fisher.]

Do you own any pornos at home?
Jeffery: I had a Corbin Fisher account for a month, and I managed to download only nine videos, so I've been watching those same videos since April and at this point I know every single move they make. But it's kinda like watching "Golden Girls"..... you've seen it a hundred times but somehow, it never gets old.
Cole: The only hardcopy of porn I've ever owned was a DVD I bought on the street in Mexico City called "Pump Party 2." It didn't make any sense because a.) I'm not turned on by penis pumps and b.) I didn't see "Pump Party 1," so it was hard for me to follow the plot.
What, besides porn of course, are you hot for this summer?
Jeffery: Summer is almost over, right? But lately, I've been really into white wine, almonds, and creating a weird distance between me and my father.
Cole: Bonnie Raitt and Jeffery's almonds.
