“You’re Fired,” You Clown!

NEW YORK — Isn’t it rich? Broadway legend and Hillary Clinton supporter Barbra Streisand lampooned maybe-billionaire Donald Trump before a crowd of wealthy Democrats on Friday night, to the tune of “Send In The Clowns.”

From our friends at the Washington Post, “Yes, that Broadway classic from 1973 that you now cannot get out of your head (you’re welcome) was repurposed as a gag at a Clinton fundraiser targeting gay donors and featuring Streisand. Clinton spoke and Streisand sang seven songs at the New York eatery Cipriani, part of a blitz of fundraising events organized recently for Clinton as the presidential race tightened.”

 

Adds The Wrap, “Barbra Streisand brought out Democratic donors with deep pockets Friday night to a New York City LGBT fundraiser for Hillary Clinton.

Although countless celebs who support the gay community showed up, it was Streisand who brought down the house with a revised rendition of “Send In the Clowns,” aimed at Donald Trump.
