CockyBoys founder/director Jake Jaxson has been mum on the details of Answered Prayers, the studio’s upcoming fall release. It’s set to roll out starting November 26, and here are the teaser posters, which look decidedly Great Gatsby-esque.
Jaxson has confirmed the title is a reference to Truman Capote’s last, unfinished novel, which bore an epigraph from Saint Teresa: “More tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones.” And the promotional materials also use another quote, “Weaving spiders come not here,” which is Shakespeare and which also happens to be the motto of the notorious Bohemian Club in California, implying a message that business dealings should be left outside the club and its gatherings.
Jaxson has also said that the film is “a highly sexualized morality play” which appears to involve scissors.
The film was shot, in part, on location in Montreal — star Jake Bass’s hometown — and it features Bass, Ricky Roman, Levi Karter, Max Carter, Bravo Delta, Diesel Washington, Gogo Harder, and Dillon Rossi.
