Grindr, The Musical

“I know about party-n-play/ but I never knew what love was/ until you were one foot away!”

This hilarious spoof musical, which was just made as a YouTube short/fake trailer as opposed to being a full-length show, comes to us from LA-based writer JC Gardiner and director Andrew Putschoegl, with music by Mark Byers.

The swoopy-haired blond star is actor Phillip Marcell who also, as it happens, appeared in Violet Chachki’s bondage-themed video for her first single, “Bettie.”

Anyway, Grindr, the Musical!
“You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll probably hook up with some sub-standard random.”

It’s kinda cute. Decent tunes, decent lyrics, decent singing… sweet ending. Just what a fringe musical should be… and just like naked guys singing, not taken seriously.

They already have a musical about aids. It’s called RENT

How can you make a musical about douche bags standing around a club talking to republican senators and pastors at the gay club on an app and acting like your too cool for school.

    Dumb
