 When Joan Rivers performed for the leathermen at a Folsom Street Fair benefit gala on Saturday, the tension was thick: would she like what Sir was wearing?
The invitation to the Folsom Street Events 25th Anniversary Gala dinner had specified "formal wear or dress leather." We did not learn about dress leather at Mount Holyoke, so we grabbed the tux and got ourselves a table, fast.
Joan, it turns out, was more interested in making fun of Chinese people than dressing down the leather VIPS who shelled out as much as $400 a ticket. With all due respect to Joan and an open bar, the formal leather runway was possibly the best part of the night.
 Double dating only gets better with age!
  Why won't Tyler Perry make a movie about this family reunion?
 Leather McDonald's!
 Why we'll never leave San Francisco again.
      "Did she say something about diamonds on the floor!"
 Who are you wearing?  Joan, with signature restraint, limited herself to a fur-and-leopard-print handcuff accoutrement.
