Sean Penn Wins SAG Award for MilkSean Penn won the Male Actor in a Leading Role prize at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night for his role as slain San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk, possibly setting him up for a win at the Oscars next month.

Meryl Streep won the lead actress prize for Doubt, and entertainment talking heads often point out that the SAG Awards are the best predictor of Oscar wins--given the heavy overlap between the voting blocks of both awards.  We predict Milk is going to take the screenplay prize--for our lover Lance--and that Penn's Oscar from a couple years ago might make him less of a favorite than Rourke's big sweatry comeback in The Wrestler, but yeah, we're the kind of fags who do this kind of handicapping and start our own Oscar pools.

In accepting the prize, the allegedly semi-homophobic Penn noted that "something happened to [him] in the making of this movie" and pointed out that the two statues flanking the stage had "rather healthy packages."

Assuming you had better things to do than watch the ceremony, you can see Penn's speech below.
