Former Project Runway Kids Design Inaugural Gowns for Michelle

Over at Tina Brown's new venture The Daily Beast, they asked a group of former Project Runway contestants to sketch some ideas for our new first lady for an inaugural ball gown befitting this New Day in America. 

The results are in--but not before the Beast got punk'd by somebody impersonating Jay McCarroll.  Some of the designs are funny, like Chris March's stars-n-stripes potato barrel shown at left.  Others are chic and daring, like Season 3's Allison Kelly's cocktail-length, vintage-inspired idea (below left).  And some are just fugly and insane, like Season 4's Rami Kashou's 4th-of-July parade float tranny number  (below right).  Our faves are below, and the rest of the designs can be seen here.
