Musto v. Lucas: Battle of the Michaels

 In a bloggy war only a media-drunk gay could love, legendary Village Voice gossip columnist Michael Musto and legendarily outspoken porn prince Michael Lucas have gotten into a civilized war of words that began with Musto ranting about how many press releases he receives from La Lucas.
We've noted previously that Musto doesn't seem to quite *get* the daily blog genre, telling us either too little or too much, and this week he lodged a very media-centric complaint titled "Who Sends More Press Releases, Russel Simmons or a Porn Star?"
And never one to let a press mention go unnoticed, Lucas shot off an email reply to Musto which, in true gossip-columnist style, Musto immediately posted in the Comments section of his blog:
This hilarious response just came in from Michael Lucas:
"Sweety darling, I will keep sending you an ongoing stream of my shit as long as you will find one worthy mention in your column because, frankly, I will do anything to get mentioned. So if you ever need hot sexual intercourse with an aging, mentally ill, overexposed porn star, then call me and I will give you the phone number of Matthew Rush... Let's keep the buzz going because I am getting close to my forties and how many years do I have left in the spotlight."
Okay maybe it's not much of a war. Lucas goes on to invite Musto to dinner, so we think these two will remain friends in that "keep your enemies in your pocket" kind of way.
