How many dead porn stars does it take to screw in a kleig light? When the images and video from the Raging Stallion's To The Last Man shoot started trickling in, with dead porn star after dead porn star, we were a little shocked at the level of Tarantino-ish violence
-- stranglings, drownings, shootings and hangings. Granted, dealing with porn stars isn't always easy -- but slitting RJ Danvers' beautiful throat? Maybe the industry should be trading the casting couch for the psychoanalysts.
It's not just Raging Stallion, of course -- movies like Titan's Folsom Filth, Hot House's Justice and, most recently, StagHomme's Armed have been steadily upping the ante. Someone at Raging Stallion leaked us the trailer this morning and we were more than a little aroused -- in part because after years of watching two jocks fuck in a locker-room, we've got some actual drama. Real sex, if we remember correctly, isn't all flowers and bunnies: events that have gone down in our own bedrooms have sometimes been downright disturbing!
There was a trickle of controversy when the original photos started appearing, but the trailer should fan the flames of hand-wringing gays like nothing since William Friedkin's Cruising in the early 80s. In fact, now that Raging Stallion has taken porn filmmaking to such over-the-top levels, maybe they should make THAT into a porn.
I know I'll buy another raging stallions movie again:), but yeah--OUCH--sca ry murder movie--OK---por n movie---well yes---I don't want to watch a scary murder porn movie!!
I'm far from squeamish and I like pushing the boundaries of my sexuality but death is kind of a turn off. But this move by Raging Stallion is far from surprising; it's simply another example of consumers being desensitized to televised violence. For myself, I grew up in a time and place where it wasn't okay to go to the city parks because dead bodies kept turning up, resulting from the endemic gang wars and mafia hits . When I'm looking to stroke one off I don't want to see beautiful men killing each other, it just hits too close to home.
