When Unzipped told Michael Lucas that Brent Corrigan would appear on the cover of next month's Freshman Magazine, Michael Lucas was, as one might expect, not happy.
Unzipped had stoked this weekend's Lucas/Corrigan post-GayVN feud when it reported that Brent had turned down a role with Lucas in 2006 (according to Corrigan, "because my scene rate was too high") without checking to get Michael's side of the story. When, after calling the Unzipped offices to lodge an all-caps complaint, Lucas learned about Brent's upcoming appearance on the cover of Freshman.
Lucas accused them of slander in the earlier article and contended that Corrigan's appearance on the magazine's cover would be a disasterous for porn lovers. In an email exchange with associate editor Ken Knox, Lucas offered this prediction:
Ok great, so let's accept him and then we'll accept the next kid who does it then the next kid until we all end up with child pornography all over our computers. Because this should be the accepted protocal of our industry to forget it once they are of age??? I am disappointed with your morality on this. But we all have our standard of practices ... Let's respect this.
So far, the cover stands. Unzipped says that Lucas never directly asked that the cover be pulled and that, in any case, they'd never entertain such a request. Either way, we're alerting our Norton Anti-Virus rep just to be safe.
