 This entry comes to us from special correspondent The Unabashed Queer. While his fellow porn star peers fraternized around him, Dallas Reeves, sat alone in the back row of the GayVN Awards run-through like the new kid in school.
Fantasies of taking him under my wing and the drunken encounters that would ensue filled my head as I approached him. These boys love to feel like celebrities, they love to feel loved. I heard one porn actor on the red carpet say, “Wow, this is amazing,” as he posed for the flashbulbs popping all around him.
I could sense Dallas' excitement as he granted me an interview. Like many of the other boys I spoke to, he was an unskilled interviewee, stalling constantly by re-asking my questions. “Dallas, what kind of guy do you like?” “What kind of guy do I like? That’s a very good question.” Judge Judy would totally call him out for that.
He says that at 25 years-old, he’s been performing in porns for three years. I ask him my typical lead question for porn actors: What are you known for? “I’m really good at sucking dick,” he says after some deep thought. Is there a porn star who is bad at it? In that case, I could be a porn star. Expanding more on his answer, he gets a serious look on his face. “I really make love on film. I’m very passionate. I think that’s my niche.” Yeah and I make love in a glory hole.
 Reeves is typically cast as the frat boy and claims to like a wide range of men, adding that they should be between the ages of 18 to 35 and muscular. How diverse. Like a student of Stanislavski, Dallas says he prepares himself before each scene, meditating until he is in an intense sexual state. “It’s more difficult to do it with the straight guys because I can tell they’re not into it. I like body contact, kissing. But I just go with the flow.”
“Where do you see yourself in five years,” I ask him. “Five years,” he asks back. “That’s a good question.”
