Poltergeist 3 cast member and king fundie zealot Fred Phelps is roadtripping with his family of haters to protest gay marriages in "God-forsaken, Hell-bound California." Yes, it wouldn't be a gay rights issue (or military funeral) if that band of batshit sign-wavers didn't show up, and we can only say we're SUPER excited to go meet Shirley Phelps Roper in person. Oh yes. We are going to do our damndest on June 17 the hop across the Bay to the Contra Costa County offices where the Phelps clan plans to harass all the poor, eager, suburban and rural lesbigays who will be lining up for their marriage licenses that day. For those of you who don't know, Contra Costa County can get kind of rough, and we're fully expecting that line to have no fewer than a dozen ANGRY bull dykes from the projects of Richmond and just as many rough-and-tumble biker bears and lezzies from the wiles of Concord to come out of the woodwork to get hitched.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is going
to be a fucking SHOW, and The Sword will cover it for you by god.
