Pitbull's Tiger Tyson (link NSFW) proves that porn stars have a lot more in their head than, uh, head. The GayVN Hall of Famer claims that the media frenzy over Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama is nothing more than a sideshow, and that McCain's a sure bet. "It's a nice little fight going on," the conspiracy-minded stud surmises, " [but] ain't no black man getting into office and ain't no woman running this country. They just ain't going to allow it-and you know who 'they' is!"
We're a little unsure, truth be told, if "they" is the Trilateral Commission, the Carlyle Group, Dick Cheney or Al-Qaeda, but we've got to give him credit: The East Harlem-based top man says he'll swallow his words if he's wrong.
Tiger has a point but I don't think it's about having faith in the Democratic Party, it's about having faith in our democratic process and/or the ability for voters to see past race and gender stereotypes.
This should be most interesting presidential campaign since Clinton, the first ran against Bush, the first. Mr. McCain's age may be an issue just as it was with Senator (and early Viagra advocate) Bob Dole. I just worry that McCain, in an effort to gain the support of the "religious wrong," will go to war with the adult entertainment industry, just as Bush, the second is doing.
