David Cook may have triumphed over rival David Archuleta in the latest round of American Idol, but he's still less popular than watersports videos, according to private investigators who testified this week at the Max Hardcore obscenity trial in Tampa.
Judge Susan Bucklew had suggested that the videos in question -- including Golden Guzzlers 7, Pee-Tastic, P Is For Pleasure and a German import, Piss Schlampe
-- appealed to deviant groups but might be considered obscene to the
community at large. In response, the defense called witnesses who
recreated Google searches demonstrating that a combination of terms
like "pissing," "porn" and "video" returned nearly 1.7 million results
while the terms "David Cook," "American Idol" and "video" returned only
1.5 million.
Closing arguments in the case, which required jurors to watch over
eight hours of Max's signature extreme hardcore pissing, fisting and
vomiting videos, will be made today.
