Vicki Marlane DocumentaryIt's clearly Tranny Tuesday over here at The Sword, but after seeing this teaser clip from a soon-to-be-released documentary about San Francisco's oldest living transsexual performer, Vicki Marlane, we couldn't in good conscience keep it from you.

Vicki is the grande dame of the Hot Boxxx Girls, performing every Friday and Saturday at Aunt Charlie's Lounge in SF's glorious Tenderloin -- usually with 3 or 4 costume changes apiece.  The show, if you've never seen it, is not to be missed -- old school, unironic drag at its purest, hosted by the $65,000 Silicone Wonder herself, Gina LaDivina

This documentary, directed by Michelle Lawler, "chronicles the life of 75-year-old Vicki from Minnesota farm boy to carnival worker to gay icon."  The film is scheduled to premiere during Frameline, the San Francisco GLBT Film Fest, on June 19th at the Roxie Theater.

We have personally never seen Vicki out of makeup, and have ALWAYS wanted to hear her story, so we're losing our minds with anticipation. Until then, we'll just watch this 4-minute clip over and over again.
