Justin Owen Just Wants to Star In Your Fantasy, and Always Gets Hard On His Own

I’m passing through Los Angeles this week and I was finally able to speak to someone who’s been on my list for a long time: Randy Blue’s premiere bottom Justin Owen. Much beloved on porn blogs, including this one, which called him the “hottest gay porn star to come along since Brent Corrigan” last year, Justin’s actually a sweet northwestern boy at heart, who identifies as bi-curious and is currently dating a girl. We talked about his beginnings in porn, whether he really enjoys those dicks he rides so well, and what his girlfriend thinks about his part-time job.

Adam Baran: How are you doing today?

Justin Owen: Good man, I had the longest day yesterday, I had to fly home and then I had to do all the airport stuff, and tackle a bunch of different chores and stuff that needed to get to get done.

What took you to LA this weekend?

I just came out because I have opportunities through Randy Blue. I had a cool opportunity to come out and take a quick vacation and take a little break from the real life. It was a pretty fun experience. I got to go to Universal Studios for the first time. The weather was fantastic. It was beautiful.

What kind of opportunities are you talking about? Were you shooting with them?

The opportunities that I referred to are camming. Camming is starting to gain a pretty big stronghold in the industry and everyone’s doing it. Randy Blue has some awesome opportunities; they’re holding contests every week and pushing people to cam more. I got ahold of that, won a few contests and it’s competitive out there. There’s a lot of people doing it. I guess I got lucky cause I never win those things. I got a cool little paid vacation out of it.

JUSTINNICK-9When you say it’s competitive, who or what exactly are you competing against?

Other people. There’s a bunch of great lookin’ dudes out there working for the same thing you’re working for. Camming for me is an awesome part-time job, it’s like I’m making this much per hour, it’s nice to have it as — it’s not even a part time job, it’s more a luxury. It’s fun showing off for people.

How much do you make from it?

When I first got on I was saying to myself I don’t know if I can do it. I was making decent money but it varies, but now people make anywhere from four to six thousand dollars a month. That’s what I’ve heard and what I’ve seen. That’s what I’m aiming for. It’s really fun. It’s just fun getting on there and answering questions. I love getting on there and talking. Whenever someone asks me, what’s your favorite things to do, I say, I love meeting new people. If you’re alive and you’ve got some awesome experience, I want to learn about it. It’s fun, having people say, “Hey how was this?” or “How was that?” and to be honest it almost turns me on to answer questions and be adored in that type of way. So it’s fun to get on and then you get the added benefit of getting paid as well.

What’s one thing you’ve learned about the people while camming that’s stuck with you?

If anything, learning to be more patient, listening more than speaking, although I technically can’t say listening since I’m just reading what they’re typing. I really learn how to be more patient. If you go on, sometimes you get lucky and other times it’s slow and you have to sit around and talk to people. They’re your fans. You’ve got Twitter followers and that’s what I’m learning. I’m just trying to hang out a bit more, not just jump the gun. Hang out because success comes with time.

When did you set your sights on this? How did you and gay porn come to be?

Before I had a stage name I had headshots, and a few mutual friend connections and they said I’ll take a few headshots of you for free. They turned out great and I ended up using social networking to put my portfolio out there for free, which I thought was a pretty great opportunity. I was going to a few open castings. Doing a few web things. Some of the stuff I did was overseas and that’s when I met people who said, “Wow you’d do good in porn.” I was like, “Really?” I never even flattered myself. I could never see someone walking past me in the street and thinking, “Wow that guy would be great naked.” I never heard that before I traveled overseas and when I finally came back I decided to give it a shot. I searched agencies and found my first connection through the internet. I stumbled across one that was like, “Just in case, how big is your dick?” and a few other adult questions. I answered them and got a call and was just introduced into the whole industry. From then on I just tried to be my own man and then things just started going solo.

Did you have a big learning curve that you were working against? A lot of times people have stories of being green and not knowing what to do. I’m curious if you experienced the same thing.

I think I understand what you’re asking but I kind of want to go in the opposite direction. I feel like things got easier. Things aren’t really jumping in my path, I’m not seeing green or getting too crazy. If anything things got easier. They slowed down. Now that I’m getting a good build and a base things are just getting easier. I just need to stay solid. You know? Like don’t see green like you were saying. Just stay humble and patient and wait for the success to come to you. I just want to keep on rolling. I got some days when I just want to go faster but I just gotta keep it at a steady pace. I don’t want to go too quick or put out too much. Just keep it solid.

jarec-justin-randy-6
You’re working out a lot, then?

The way I see it, right now that’s my only job. That’s my personal goal. If people ask me what my job is, I look in the mirror and say stay in shape, stay good looking, keep my hygiene up and stay alpha. You know?

Stay alpha?

Yeah, I feel like rolling up and testing the limits of being a man. I read a lot of motivational articles and they talk about that a lot.

What’s been the highlight of your scene work in porn?

Like I said earlier, meeting new people is one of the coolest aspects of working in the industry. I remember meeting Randy for the first time, he was an amazing guy. I never met someone who was so nice and business oriented at the same time. It was a great combination. Meeting Diego Sans was wonderful. Great guy. He came and worked out with me. We had a great time. We agree on almost everything. Austin Wolf is another great guy. He talked to me about where he lived. He shared his fun life experiences. The friendliness and the people is really what I like.

What about the dicks?

The dicks. Hehe. I mean, I like it. Being bi-curious, bisexual, whatever you want to refer to. It’s a plus. I think it looks great on camera. I think I’m creating an amazing fantasy on camera for all the fans out there. Especially I love when I can be rock solid when getting fucked. It looks beautiful on camera, and that’s exactly what I’m looking for, I’m looking out for you guys.

But is that really you or just Viagra?

Oh no, no. Whenever Viagra’s an option it’s always halfway through. I can always get it up. It’s always enjoyable. It’s always an amazing experience, and we always make fun and what comes with fun is that sexy and natural look and I love it. I just want to make the magic happen. That’s what we’re aiming for every time.

A lot of our commenters are negative about performers who aren’t “pure gay” and I’m curious about what you think about that?

I wonder if A-list celebrities, you know, on Jimmy Kimmel how they have celebrities reading mean tweets — I started staying away from the comments because I remember reading them in the beginning and a lot of them were positive and they uplifted me and even having thousands of fans on Twitter and having everyone jerking off to you, that’s pleasurable in my eyes. And uh, to be honest the comments can be negative or positive but to be honest I think everyone truly loves it. They all just have to have their say. It’s like scrolling down a YouTube video you’re going to see a few negative comments no matter how cool the video is.

justin-owen-cockIn terms of you being bi-curious, when did that all start. Were you hooking up with guys in high school?

To be honest, I want to say I was just really comfortable with it. I had no really crazy high school experience or anything along those lines. I was just really comfortable with nudity in the first place. I went everywhere nude. I was cool being nude. I was like the only dude who was like forget you guys, I’m changing in the shower, who needs to put up a towel. So I was just really comfortable with nudity and I was always a really sexual person. Just being in prior relationships, people knew that I was like, the guy, that I was a sexual guy, you know? I already had the sexuality going on all the time and I was already horny as hell you know, so — and I was cool with creating an awesome fantasy. I really got the grasp of porn and if you think about it, you get two hot guys and you’re creating a fantasy. That’s what porn is, anybody who’s had plenty of sex in their life knows sex could never be like that unless you — I don’t even know how to explain it. It’s just a fantasy. We could emulate that in our minds without even watching it but if you add the visual stimulation it just catches fire. It makes everything much hotter. I just love the fact that we can create such a piece of art — if I can call it that — and be completely cool with it and know it’s going to be great. I mean, I feel like it would be a lot different if it wasn’t hot, but knowing that it’s going to be there and everyone’s enjoying it thoroughly, I’m happy.

Are you seeing anyone? Guys, girls?

Right now I am seeing a girl. She’s a great teammate. That’s how I would describe her. That’s what I need right now is a great teammate. I need someone who will help me when I’m down and listen to me. I feel like I give good advice and I love helping people and I need someone to help me too. Because I’m not perfect.

Do you tell her about the porn? Does she know what you do?

Yeah she knows. I think — she tells me it’s hot. I’m thinking, yeah, whatever, I wouldn’t watch it with you, blah blah blah, but she thinks it’s hot. She thinks it’s cool. The way she describes it and the way other people describe it is — I have a close friend who just says, “Wow it’s really out of the box. I never thought in my life I’d meet a porn star.” I guess if you think about it ,it is kind of out of the box. She’s said, “It’s so different, I’ve never seen anything like it. I had an ex-boyfriend stock-broker and all day he sat in front of the computer. I never thought I’d meet a porn star.”

For her it’s a bonus.

Yeah. I guess it is.

You’re a really impressive bottom. Tell me about the first time you ever took a dick.

I don’t want to sound bad but just — to be honest this sounds really bad — I was traveling and I was 18 .I might have been a little drunk and I wanted to get off and I was walking up to the hotel and I had given up on any chances but I met a guy who was, I don’t know, I think I want to say, more twinkish than anything. Right away he asked me if want to party? I was like “Hell yeah.” When we went back to the hotel it was kind of a flip-flop experience, he rode me first and he was into it. I love people who are super into it. I feel like gay sex is a lot more like rahhhhh, like come at you, attack more often. I like that. It’s hot. I remember him riding me. We used condoms. It was safe, and hot. Perfect combination. I do feel like I shouldn’t say I was drinking at the time since I was 18 but I was overseas at the time.

It’s interesting to me that you’re concerned about saying you were drinking underage but not any of this other stuff.

I just don’t want to sound terrible on a recorded conversation so I just want to correct my mistake.

With girls do you ever have them do anal stuff to you?

That’s a good question. So far, no. Nothing has happened, but the one girl who’s been talking to me about it is the one I’m seeing now. I want to know how many guys in relationships do that. I don’t think it’d be too enjoyable on my part. It might have to be like a one- or two-time thing. But I don’t think I’d like it. She knows her duties, I know my duties. We’re not trying to make too much — get too crazy. But I don’t think I would enjoy a girl giving me rimjobs or fucking me. With a guy there’s something that’s really right and hot, but with someone I’m already in a relationship with, I don’t think we could.

Because you think there are roles and you’re comfortable fitting into those roles?

Yeah. I just am thinking about the girl I’m with now. We only talked about it, we joked about it and she was like, “I would fuck you.” And I was like, “Oh really?” I think that’s about as far as it went.

That could open you up to a whole new area of porn.

Yeah, but I don’t know if that would be taking a turn for the worst or the best.

Do you ever explore going back to the straight porn world?

Well that’s where I started, if you follow it back I was with Next Door Studios. I think I still have a solo and straight scene up there, but I don’t think I’m gonna go back. I think I heard of another model who went back a few times and switched — Chris Rockway, I believe? But I don’t know.

Do you have a dream partner you’d want to work with in porn?

Right now I don’t really have a guy I’m gaga for. If I had to name my top two who I really enjoyed working with — I would say Diego Sans, he was one of the first, the best, a great guy. We really hit it off. And Chris Rockway. Because we look so alike. It’s like looking at an older me.

Watch all of Justin’s work on Randy Blue.

  1. Any guy that can take it up the ass like this one…. Dude you are wayyy past bi curious! I do find he’s better in gay porn than straight, he seems bored in straight porn, when in gay porn he literally comes alive and freaking sparkles for a a guys member. He just seems to be skirting round some of the questions, but I guess that’s his right to want to seem cool and all.

  2. Straight is the new gay. Straights want to coop anything we have, enjoy the fruits of being gay, but then turn it off when ever it is convenient and go home to their wives. They’ve turned gay sex into a straight fetish. We’ve fought for over 30 years to define sexual orientation as a legitimate identity and they come along and want to say it’s just a fetish. Well, its not fluid for all of us. We can’t all just turn it off. We should encourage people to have pride in their identity rather than shame it. Embrace bisexuality. And if you enjoy sex with men, you are bisexual blanche, you are. Get over your denial and have some fucking pride. Stop shaming gay sex.

If you don’t enjoy it at all. Go. There are plenty of hot men who can take your place. It probably shows in your performance and you aren’t going to stay in the industry for long anyway. So stop wasting our time and using us for your personal gain. There are real gays who could use the money and exposure and enjoy the sex.

    Signed -a twit!

  3. Hmm.
I’ve not liked this guy since he’s made his appearance; but, I think this interview has changed my mind about him.

    1. Wait, did he compare himself to Chris Rockway? (I couldn’t be bothered to read this BS piece.) This guy’s looks are going to max out in a couple of years. He doesn’t have the handsome face that gets better with age.

  4. I´m a big Justin Owen fan. He has a great face and a very nice body. He is also a power bottom! Not too many of those in gay porn. He also gives a nice impression in short RB-interviews.

But this interview was a disappointment, not the questions but the answers. Justin is wordy (too long explanations) and as someone wrote “talks in circles”. He is rather spaced out and hard to follow in this interview.

After this interview I also doubt that he is Bi. He didn´t clearly say if he has sex with guys in his private life except one occasion when he was 18. Lastly-I have no problems with G4p as long as they are good looking and very good performers.

    1. Then why would he state “with a guy there’s something that’s really right and hot” but then contrasts with, “with someone I’m already in a relationship with, I don’t think we could.” It means he is in a relationship strictly with girls, but guys he turns to for his kicks in bed.

And no, he doesn’t say it was his only time at 18 – it was his FIRST time. Meaning, others were to follow.

There is something inherently wrong with porn stars.

  5. “I just don’t want to sound terrible on a recorded conversation so I just want to correct my mistake.”

He is talking in circles on topics that come up and it registers as fake to outsiders. Example:
“She knows her duties, I know my duties. We’re not trying to make too much — get too crazy. But I don’t think I would enjoy a girl giving me rimjobs or fucking me. With a guy there’s something that’s really right and hot, but with someone I’m already in a relationship with, I don’t think we could.”

So he has his expectations of “duties” in a heterosexual relationship. He doesn’t want to do sexually with a woman the same things he finds pleasure doing only with other guys? It sounds like a closeted person, even if his girlfriend knows about his work, he is concealing who he truly is from his family. She probably wants to be seen as having a boyfriend. A perfect bearding situation, it looks like.

As to the comment on the board about G4P, the whole issue of G4P is more about the cynical nature of it. That anyone can be bought. If heterosexuals can play gay, then what is to stop people from asking why gay people can’t play straight? G4P is annoying and repeating old patterns in our porn that gays have to do deal with in the real world. That is NOT a fantasy I am interested in. Our porn is depressing, it has guys playing straight and guys who are taking poz loads, which is just worse.

  6. Randy Blue is really trying to push this lesbian/Sheldon Cooper doppelganger as a big deal, but he’s really not. He’s not very hot, and he’s just not exciting to watch. Any random Helix twink is hotter and more exciting to watch than him.
Good interview though. Thanks for asking relevant questions instead of blowing smoke up his ass.

    1. I have wondered that for years…I think there is but the space is unfortunately getting smaller and smaller, sadly

    2. Actually Billy Santoro answered that question on I think Twitter that most gay roles in porn today were acted by g4pay models, and based to it he felt disappointed as well. But this DISEASE was really difficult to fight with bcoz the defender of g4p models are the paid BLOGGERS/INTERVIEWER and the gay men themselves who were also the fans of old or retired g4pyers like Jeff Stryker or Joey Garducci(?).

  7. His Randy Blue bio stated he was a LA native now he’s flying home? You consider your girlfriend a teammate and you’re not sure if she knows you do porn? He has a hard time keeping up with his own bullshit.

    1. Before you blast venom at Justin Owen.. It’s obvious you don’t have a clue what reading comprehension is about. Justin clearly stated his girlfriend knows he does gay porn and finds it sexy. In other words at least attempt to make a half assed effort to read an article thoroughly. Justin is my favorite porn star, I wish he did another straight scene though.. He is great at both gay and straight sex scenes.

      1. Hey dumbass what part of I think ,,,,, do you not get. I read the article you moron and again he gets tripped up in his own fiction and bullshit. . Check your on reading comprehension tool.

        1. At the time she knew he was doing porn, with the phrase “Yeah she knows”. Then he says something else starting with “I think”. Maybe that’s why that other user thinks you can’t comprehend what you read… Don’t be so stupid!

  8. Ha, just the best tongue-in-cheek faux serious interview I’ve read in ages – quite how you were able to keep a “straight” face I don’t know. And the poor dear was worried that he was drinking when he was 18. That’s the least of his problems. Perhaps a little self-knowledge might be a good start. He’s as bi as a daisy, which is cool and all, but nonnsense he shrouds it in is rather tragic.

  9. I dont think he’s bi-curious he’s definitely straight. I am so thankful that my subscription at RB will going to end this month. I am so happy and dont have plans looking back again. I wasnt a fan of him from the start and never will. In my own adjective I call him “SINUNGALING”. Anyways, nice interview. And thank you theSword for the opportunity to comment a simple people like me.

      1. James – “Sinungaling” is Filipino for “liar.”

Dilimjor – Justin says he’s bi. Justin has sex with men on and off-screen. Justin also has a girlfriend. That sounds like more than enough evidence for his sexual orientation.

      2. It can be hard to keep track of all Jordi Lim’s smurf names, it’s true. He’s pretty much the only pathologically anti-G4P person commenting in every single post though, so that’s your first giveaway even when he doesn’t drop something filipino. It’s hilarious that his obsessive multi-nick posting has apparently been successful in fomenting the idea that there’s a “lot” of his type here, though.

        1. You know what if you I hated these g4p models it’s not your business so will you just shut up you g4pay addict. And you were so annoying to care about whatever name I would wanted to use. Leave me alone I dont care if u like me or not.

  10. Those who are anti- G4P are twits anyway and Justin Owen shouldn’t pay any attention to them. These haters are not worth his time and effort. I’m glad that Justin is self confident in his sexuality and it comes across on screen.. I wish people would take note that Justin keeps repeating that porn is a fantasy and that is what he is providing. I miss that long hair, grow it back Justin! Thank you so much Adam for this great interview with this sexy stud Justin Owen. By the way like Justin stated as well girls find gay porn hot, like his current girlfriend so there are female fans of gay porn out there as well and it’s time gay men realize that and not feel so threatened by them.

  11. I really don’t think ‘curious’ is the word anymore. That implies ‘have thought about it but never done anything.’ If he’s been having sex with guys voluntarily since the age of 18, that is no longer ‘curious.’ That’s just bi.
