Seattle Uncut: What do you like most about your photographic work?

High Contrast Cock: I realize that many of my photographs might put most people at unease. I have to say that I get a kind of pleasure out of this – of making people uncomfortable. I like people to feel like they are being allowed to look at something that they shouldn’t – of being able to really zoom in and look at every fold of skin and hair. I try to make my pictures completely unabashedly and show my cock with its flaws and lint from my pants still stuck to the head. Right now my driving motivation is showing how different my cock can look in so many different situations and how versatile foreskin can be.

SU: What do you think people notice first about your work? What do you wish that they would notice most?

HCC: I think most people are probably taken aback by the extreme explicitness of my work. I think that some pictures are actually a degree more explicit than most porn. Porn is always too laden with artifice to be truly explicit. I like to think that my work bypasses the artifice to a degree, so what you see is genuinely graphic…

SU: Your work is so stylized– it must represent a vision, or a viewpoint. What is that, and where do you think it comes from?

HCC: I find all genitals extremely interesting. I think you can look at someone’s cock and tell as much about him as looking at his face. I was always amazed at how different my cock would look at different times and in different situations. This is definitely part of my vision, of illustrating how a cock can really have a personality all its own…

As far as my motive behind showing my foreskin to the world, it might just be a reaction to all those years of being so ashamed of it.
