The man who (bizarrely) made national news last year for being hot, a policeman, and working in a gay neighborhood, known as the Hot Cop of the Castro, just got himself arrested over the holiday weekend for plowing into two pedestrians in what appears to be a late-night DUI hit-and-run.
The crash happened after 2 a.m. on Sunday in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, which is a popular partying destination, and 38-year-old Chris Kohrs, a.k.a. the Hot Cop, was allegedly driving his orange Dodge Charger when it ran into two men in their 40s walking across the street, according to the SF Chronicle.
The driver of the vehicle abandoned it at the scene and ran away, however the car is registered to Kohrs, who lives in San Francisco and was off duty at the time.
He’s been booked on two counts of felony hit and run, as the LA Times reports.
After being “discovered” on duty, looking sexy in his uniform in the Castro in the spring of 2014 by local author Arminstead Maupin (whose Facebook post about Kohrs’ hotness is responsible for his initial notoriety), Kohrs went on to a couple of months of celebrity, making national headlines especially in the gay press. As it turned out, the Castro wasn’t even his beat — he belonged to a different precinct altogether and was just there temporarily doing overtime because of some construction in the neighborhood. He later did a couple of charity events and claimed he was taking down a Facebook fan page he set up, out of modesty and a desire for privacy, only to put it back up in recent months.
He also recently had a shirtless beach shot of him used in a 2016 Fit Cops calendar.
And yes, sorry, he is heterosexual.
Below, some more photos documenting his hotness, including several from a charity Ice Bucket Challenge event that he did last year, at a gay bar.
He’s not that good looking honestly. The only good looking picture was the one in uniform, that’s all.
