10 Questions With The Sword’s Guest Writer Mark Taint (Plus See His Cock Shot)

Last week, The Sword’s new guest contributor Mark Taint pissed a lot of people off with his “Guide To Being Gay.” Today, I asked him 10 questions to try and find out why he is such a dick.

The Sword: Your first piece for The Sword was a pretty scathing indictment of gay life and gay culture. What makes you an authority on all things gay?
Mark Taint: Because I am.

Where are you from, what is your ethnicity, how old are you, and where else might we have seen your work?
I was born and raised in Arizona. My great-grandparents are from Bosnia. I am 30. You may have seen my work all over (as an editor), but I’m not going to tell you where you can find it; I’m a guest writer here, so once my stay is over it’s over.

Are you single? If so, what kind of men do you go for? If not, tell me about your boyfriend?
I am single. I go for men who aren’t whores, so that means I don’t have sex. Also, why aren’t you asking probing questions? Why aren’t you asking about my drug habits? My racial prejudices? My sexual fetishes? I was told this blog was interesting.

You took some criticism for your “guide to being gay”; was it deserved? How do you respond to negative feedback?
I don’t give a shit what people think. There are plenty of people who read that post and liked it, plenty who read it and disliked it, plenty who read it and commented positively, and plenty who read it and commented negatively. As far as I’m concerned, this is a goddamned blog and who gives a shit what anyone thinks?

Do blog comments matter? Why or why not?
(See above.)

What blogs do you hate? What blogs do you love?
I dislike a lot of blogs, but I’m not giving out any free publicity by naming those blogs. Instead, I’ll qualify why I don’t like those blogs: they are unoriginal, boring, poorly written, and they try to hard to either be provocative or funny. They fail. Blogs I like, however, are interesting and different. Usually they’re irreverent and satirical; for example: this blog is frequently interesting (which is why I–sometimes regretfully–accepted to write for it). While I don’t have much experience with gay porn blogs, I do find that a few performer blogs are quite honest along with some “fan” blogs.

Who is the best porn star working today? Who is the worst?
“Best” is sort of relative. There are plenty of good porn actors who get put into shitty circumstances (bad studios, bad co-actors, bad videographers, etc.). Still, in terms of overall performance and look, I’m going to have to lean towards Christian Wilde. In terms of the worst, that’s not relative at all. An ugly person is an ugly person, and I think one man’s trash is a Next Door Studios model. So I’m going to have to say nearly 90% of the models there are just worthless.

What is one thing about gay porn that you wish you could change, fix, or get rid of permanently?
The porn industry should be centralized around an anonymous, impartial committee that critiques and evaluates all of the models (and possibly even the studios). Much like “The Weakest Link,” models and studios that just suck get sacrificed to the Gods. Also, the hetero-elite and blasé models can go.

What is one thing about yourself that you wish you could change, fix, or get rid of permanently?
I have a strange mole on the side of my foot I wish would go away. Also, toe hair.

Can you suck your own dick?
I can lick the tip.

Can I see your dick?
Sure, here.

Mark Taint comes back to The Sword next week with a new article. For now, follow him on Twitter.

  1. Does Mark do porn because I swear I’ve seen him on a site. And not a well known one. Oh well, nice addition to the site if he actually exits.

  2. LoL, I love the directness of this. No talk of amateur porn, isn’t that a major part of the porn industry these days? I spend a lot of time on xtube, xvideos and many more and I make my own porn with several of my consenting fb’s that I like to jack off to as well.

  3. Mark, did you know you have a resemblance to Dawson? No, not the Dawson of CF, but Dawson of TIM. BTW: why has The Sword not paid any attention to that article on the Huffington Post that said that Dawson’s 20 Load Weekend was “The most important gay porn film ever made”? Or is your (Mark’s) next post on The Sword going to be about that article? That would probably piss some people really off!

    1. Gay Porn Blog already covered it. I tried to post a link but it won’t let me so I don’t know if there’s some kind of filter preventing links, but anyway if you click on the Gay Porn Blog link at the top of the page, it’s the third story down now.
