Ha. Because Herman Cain has always been so pro-science.

Zach what Cain says in the global warming video is correct. Are you actually claiming the Climategate scientists on the government payroll are unbiased? They are not scientists, they are propogandists.
Please come and tell us about it when all the scientists on the other side of the argument aren’t bankrolled by Big Oil or the Religious Reich.
Lol. Choosing to be gay and choosing to accept the fact that you’re gay are two different things. It still surprises me that these cave men still exist.
Yes I am. Just making an observation. You are critical of Cain here. Hard not to be. Hell, the dude spends the day with his foot in his mouth (according to him blacks are brainwashed not to vote Republican)
Just wondering why moments like this seem more geared toward gay political groups, and not the political class. Is that even a fair assumption?
And to repeat: asking a question. Trying not to be a jerk. Even if I’m not doing a good job of not appearing jerky.
Fair retort. Didn’t mean to be all editorial on your space (although what’s the deal with not interviewing Noah Brooks….smile). It just seems, from where I stand, you have a particular animus toward asshat behavior that comes from the gay rights class. Unfortunately there’s a whole lot to work with. However, that same critical eye seems not to wonder toward people like Cain. Just my observation is all.
You’re saying this on a post that is critical of…Cain.
“I’m not interested in things from a gay rights perspective, but rather from the perspective of observing who is being the biggest hypocritical asshole.”
Fair, but then you should be spending a lot of time writing about the recent GOP. Too many of their leaders are “hypocritical assholes.” I think some of your critique of the gay rights crowd is on the mark, but I don’t sense the same ire against others in the political world.
There are plenty of blogs that do that (some better than others), but it doesn’t mean I can’t make an observation when something particularly ridiculous happens. But, uh, thanks for telling me what I should write about.
I’m not having a go at you here (seriously, I’m not). In an earlier post here you said you were over the gay-rights crowd. But then you post this. There seems to be a disconnect between your irritation at the way some gay-rights people behave and then a different irritation at the way you’re treated as a gay man in the US by potential political leaders. Please believe that I’m not trying to score a point here, I’m just confused by differing messages from the same source.
I don’t live in America so I acknowledge that I’m not in the best position to comment. However, in the US there seems to be a specific connection between equality politics in the US and the nature of gay porn that doesn’t exist elsewhere. I’m not saying that any place is better or worse than the US when it comes to concepts of gay equality (emphatically, I’m not making value judgments), but I’m trying to understand why you can dismiss gay political issues in one post and then tackle gay politics in another. It just seems schizophrenic.
Oncew again, I’m not attacking you on any of this – I’m just trying to understand. Apologies if any offence has been taken – it wasn’t intended.
No need to apologize. But there’s a big difference between being “over the gay rights crowd” (which you’ve accurately inferred from an earlier post) and pointing out some hypocrisy from a leading GOP presidential candidate. I’m not interested in things from a gay rights perspective, but rather from the perspective of observing who is being the biggest hypocritical asshole.
