I absolutely give Kink.com credit for creating what seems to be a very professional and positive work and play environment — a place where they explore the Kinkier side of sexuality, putting out lots of videos, being very accessible and open with their sexual agenda. But, ug, I can’t get over how boring and tame it all seems. This video epitomizes what I see all the time in their world — mainstream porn actors dressed in leather harnesses, going “woof” and being a little dirty. Take away the mouth speculum and the clothes pins and, pffft, it’s the same dead dull fucking and sucking I’ve seen on video since the 80s. And, Yes!, I know they want to sell a product, but it definitely seems as though Kink’s ultimate world view, their philosophy, if you will, is that pushing sexual boundaries isn’t worth while unless the players are hot in very strict, standard, traditional ways. It fucking brings me to tears. What does it mean to “dominate” a dude “in public” when the dude has an 8-pack and professes to work out 4 days a week? What’s at risk here? What boundary is really being pushed when no one involved, not the performers, not the audience, not the MCs, not the bartenders, nor, ug, the vanilla-loving Asian directrix, all conform to a very conservative ideal of what is sexy? Am I saying let’s have a fatty in a muumuu pummeled and fucked in this public arena? Perhaps. If it’s dangerous and new and perverted, why not? Kink.com just always ends up coming off as a an exclusive club — with that same old velvet rope out front that keeps things in order, and enforces a silent fascist pedigree so the tedious twats within their walls don’t have to fuck someone ugly — the same velvet rope that will eventually be used to strangle the creativity and life out of all of us.
