Amazon Accused Of Censoring Gay Sex Scenes In ‘God’s Own Country’

We’ve already told you about the hot, naked cocks in God’s Own Country. Mr.Man named it as one of their best movies of the decade and it was our #1 favorite nude Netflix movie until they recently took it off the service! We love the male nudity in the film. You love the male nudity. Everyone loves the male nudity. Well… everyone except Amazon!

According to several Amazon reviews and the film’s director, Francis Lee, it seems that multiple gay sex scenes from the movie have been edited out of the version that’s available on Amazon. Lee took to Twitter yesterday to air his disappointment in the streaming service for cutting out parts of his film.

“Dear friends in USA,” wrote the director. “God’s Own Country appears to have been censored on @PrimeVideo (Amazon Prime). Until this is investigated please do not rent or buy on Amazon Prime. It is not the film I intended or made. I will report back.”

One reviewer wrote that the version available is an “abridged version,” while someone else wrote that they were “just disappointed in Amazon Prime for editing out a certain scenes.” Another review from the beginning of this month says that the “version on Amazon Prime is missing the graphic scenes which really takes away from the film.”

Amazon hasn’t commented on the situation yet, but we’re curious as to why they cut certain scenes out. Maybe they really want you to buy the version that actually shows male nudity, so they’re editing out all the good stuff from the streamable version of the film! Whatever the reason is, it doesn’t really matter because you can always go over to Mr.Man to see all of the movie’s nude scenes. Problem solved!
