And I Thought I Was Miserable

Here’s an abridged version of the Bill In Exile post, because there’s only so much room for whining here.

Well, I’m sitting here right now both slack jawed and dumbfounded because I just got an email…from porn model Samuel Colt . . . .wait, excuse me . . . “Samuel Colt, Mustang Studios Exclusive Performer” in which Mr. Colt asked me to remove his real life first name from a post I put up a couple days ago that featured his BF Chris Porter and some dildos.

[…]

Now, for my money I can’t really see how the use of just a first name can be problematic for these fucking people — I mean, it’s not as if there’s a single fucking person in the entire world with actively firing neurons in their brain housing group who actually believes that Samuel Colt® is the guys real name or anything. And it’s just a first name fer fucks sake. But hey, if it bothers him I’m cool with that…

Ha ha. No you’re not. If you were “cool” with that, you wouldn’t be carrying on like this. Carry on:

…and so I removed it from the post..I mean, I use my entire name — first middle and last — on this porn blog of mine, and maybe that makes me less sensitive about the use of a single first name when I should be more sensitive.

No, all that makes you is a porn blogger. And one of the unspoken rules of being a porn blogger is that you don’t publish porn stars’ names. It’s done as a professional courtesy for a variety of reasons. If you can’t do that, don’t act surprised when porn stars ask you to stop doing it. Also, who the fuck cares? I want to know how well a porn star fucks, not his name.

But here’s where Mr. Colt jumped straight past pathetic and into the pesky pit of patheeshness with both feet — see, I know the guy.

Ugh.

Personally even.

!!!

I know him from well before he ever got naked in front of the camera to make porn movies. I knew him when he worked at Hot House Entertainment in the Creative Department where you could find him pecking away at his computer under the watchful eye of his boss HH Brent, the Hot House VP of Creative. In fact, I sat with him and his ex BF at the same table at the GayVN Awards a couple years ago where the three of us traded shots of tequila all night. And yet he sends me an email asking me to remove his real first name from the post that I wrote and he signs his fucking email to me not with his real name, BUT WITH HIS PORN NAME!!! Oy!

The only thing sadder than a porn blogger writing about his porn star friendships in order to make himself look cool or like someone on the “inside” is a porn blogger writing about his failed porn star friendships. Yikes.

  1. I don’t feel sorry for mainstream pornstars whose names are revealed. I feel bad for the amateur guys who are currently being humiliated on various blogs and message boards. Somebody seems to have the entire roster of guys who’ve appeared on Sean Cody, Next Door Male, and Corbin Fisher. I’ve seen links to their FB pages, parents’ FB pages, home addresses, and phone numbers. Those are just high school or college students who were looking to make a quick buck, not become famous.

  2. I treat porn stars as I would with any other public figure–any celebrity, actor, performer who has made the active choice to be in the limelight. You do NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO PUBLICITY. Get the fuck over yourselves you pussies. If you don’t like the attention, or you want some privacy–then DONT WORK IN PORN, ASSHOLE! You make the choice to work in the profession you do, and so you don’t have room to complain when someone doesn’t do a nice story on you, or even publishes your legal name! What do you think would happen when you work in media? Grow up!
Legal names of people who work with stage names occurs all the time, what ever the media you work in.

I bet if I asked any of you commentators, if some celebrity has some poor incident or some legal trouble like charlie sheen, you all would laugh it all up. No that seems to be hypocritical. Doesn’t he have the same right to privacy as you?

  3. What is Scott’s name? While those of us that have had the pleasure of meeting this handsome fella know it, I’m pretty sure that he’d give his full name out to prove his point.

  4. For fuck’s sake we’re talking about a porn star and 2 porn bloggers here. Not exactly the upper echelon of society. Porn stars, porn bloggers, and codes of ethics really seem to be an oxymoron. This is all childish and really quite laughable. Grow up guys! All of you.

    1. Lance, that really is not helpful. If you and others are going to be dismissive, perhaps the conversation isn’t worth your time and you could dismiss YOURSELF? As someone whose personal information was revealed out of spite by a company that was supposed to protect my privacy, I can speak very directly to how unnecessarily invasive this is. Whether porn models and porn bloggers fit your idea of being “good” people (then why the hell are YOU here contributing your own brand of immaturity??), it has nothing to do with a third party’s right (or lack thereof) to take it upon himself to reveal SOMEONE ELSE’S information. As to your other conjecture that people in adult entertainment have no code of ethics, I would challenge you any day of the week in a comparison of self dignity. None of the adult entertainers here have taken it upon themselves to judge you, so why not just be the adult you want everyone else to be and act with a little more refinement?

    2. Lance baby, I think people with your attitude are the core of this whole issue. Bear with me for a few moments.

Since you are here I can assume that watch porn and get pleasure from watching the on-screen performance of people like Samuel, Chris, Devon, etc. … and yet you sit there and assume to pass moral judgment on the same people who provide with pleasure. Don’t you find that a tidbit hypocritical?

Sure, it’s very easy to say: they fuck for money, they are all . Porn stars are not in the upper echelon of OUR society. Upper echelons of OUR society don’t welcome honest people who work for a living…but welcomes the likes of Bernie Maddof, Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and, my personal favorite, ex-prez G.W. Bush. Ask yourself this:
      1. Who many people are now homeless because of Maddof’s greed?
      2. How many US and other nations soldiers are now DEAD because of Bush’s utter stupidity?
      3. Who many of American GLBT people and for how long will not have equal rights under law because of the efforts of Dipshit McFacebook (Bill Maher rulz) and her clique? In a country where you pay the same taxes!

This is the upper echelon. ‘Scuze me, while I go take a dump on it! They HURT and KILL people! Now, how many deaths has a porn-star caused? Something tells me that if we were to take moral guidance from people like Samuel Colt, Devon Hunter, Conner Habib, Tony Buff and others who have taken a role as educators, we would be much much better off!

Outing the names of porn performers is irresponsible, no matter where, on a porn blog or a forum. In some cases it can be even dangerous. There is a website dedicated to outing performers from a prominent gay porn studio, people who live in highly homophobic societies, where you can get beat up on the street for being gay. Finding excuses for people like that because, you know, privacy is something only some of us can have, is equally irresponsible.

    3. Oh.And posting comments about stupid shit you don’t even care about in a gay porn blog places you in the upper ranks of society instead.

  5. well this is all just laughable really.

i’m a longtime reader of BOTH Scott and The Sword, and i’ve gotta say it…everyone over here has got their knickers in knots over “sumfin or nuffin.”

even samuel said he was perfectly happy to let it all die down, but then zach had to go and post about it. peeps felt the need to get all up in each other’s faces and be all nasty and calling people names….and it’s all just quite comical now.

as far as i’m concerned, the best thing that came out of all this is learning that leo quit porn. i thought he was just on a break. i’m utterly heartbroken!

  6. Wow a lot of shit talking going on. I too agree with what you have said chris, all this is are people sitting behind a computer being comfortable being dicks and cannot and would not confront you or anyone else face to face because they have no back bone.

I agree that no one who is in this industry should have their real name exposed, its not a matter of pride or shame its a matter of privacy and respect. I work in a bank and my last name is not given out due to privacy and the same rule applies here. There are so many sick stalkers out there and having someone knowing your real name is not going to make this better. Fuck there are people who I am sure stalk these men under their porn star name as well but it would be harder to find them under these names.

Gregorio – I don’t think this is about them being removed from what they have done its about minimising the impact on their day to day life. Anyone who is under the illusion that porn stars are the same in their day to day life are a little crazy if you ask me.

finally I ask, Does anyone want their day to day life being publicised in their work life? I doubt it and I know I do not!

    Have a little respect.

  7. I think the point is being lost that Zach’s main gripe in this post isn’t that bloggers shouldn’t publish porn stars’ name, it’s addressing how this blogger is choosing to carry himself publicly with these tempter tantrum blog posts. Bitching and moaning about your correspondence with a porn star (who you admit to not liking in the first place) just for the sake of bitching and moaning and/or to impress your readers—who in turn leave their own comments bemoaning the same porn star and sucking up to you in agreement—is really dumb. Yawn.

  8. I think there is a few conflicting viewpoints about this but they all have truthfulness to them. Most pornstars real names aren’t outed by porn blogs they are outed on gossip websites and blogs. Nik Richie outs a porn performer just about every week or posts nude pics of them that they sent someone who forwarded them to thedirty.com website. There is a very large LGBT oriented website that had a very large thread which shows a number of high profile and VERY CURRENT gay porn stars names. I think most of these are from people know/knew them at one time but some of them I honestly think are coming from people that DO work in the industry. The website gets millions of hits a month. It’s people that for whatever reason can not wait and tell anyone and everyone that someone they know is in porn.

Calvin Klein’s concubines porn past was outed on a few blogs before porn blogs picked up the story. Also psycho rightwing writer Matt Sanchez’s porn and escorting past was outed on a number of LBGT oriented news sites before the mainstream media picked picked it up. In Sanchez’s case it rightfully destroyed his credibility as a right wing writer and “activist”. Ditto James Guckert AKA Jeff Gannon. Was it right to out the above two guys? I have no issues with outing rightwing hypocrites so that should tell you what my opinion is. Randy I am very skeptical about the Kurt Wilde Subway story, especially considering some of his attention whoring antics and stunts he has pulled in the last year.

Leo Giamani claimed part of the reason he quit porn was that his real name and porn name were starting to show up together on various websites and blogs. It wasn’t porn fans or bloggers that outed him it was high school classmates and people that knew him in his pre-Leo porn days. I am just blown away that guys are that naive to think that a friend or family member isn’t going to find out and when they do go tell anyone and everyone. Plus Leo for almost two years was EVERYWHERE in gay porn. Parker London has supposedly stopped shooting because his real name and porn name are connected together and the people he was trying to keep it from found out about it. Parker’s real name was inadvertently linked on a number of porn blogs because his music was linked on the blogs which linked to his bands various webpages which of course listed his real name. In this instance, he was/is obviously trying to start a career in the music/entertainment industry, couldn’t it be argued that he was already a public figure somewhat? Also there are several porn performers that have IMDB pages with headshots included so you could argue that they are not trying to stay anonymous or under the radar since they are pursuing some kind of career in the entertainment industry.

The most true thing I have heard about this is, if you don’t want your friends and family to find out that you do porn, then you probably shouldn’t do porn. They will find out one way or another. I don’t know if Samuel Colt is keeping what he does from his family and I’m not saying that that is the reason but in this day and age nothing is private and nothing is “off limits”. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong but that is just the way it is. I think many performers know this but some don’t and are blindsided when when the proverbial shit hits the fan and really they shouldn’t be. If someone sends a dick pic to someone else on their IPHONE it can (and often does) get forwarded til infinity.

Immoral, unethical, and mean spirited? In a lot of cases, yes. Illegal? No. The state I’m working in now has some of the most public free record searches in the United States. From property records, criminal and civil records, to voter registration information. It’s not an excuse or justification for information about adult entertainers to come out but this isn’t the late 70’s early 80’s where you could do a few loops or movies and sink back into anonymity. Blogs, twitter and facebook pages, magazines, etc… have stripped away that anonymity.

We rally against gossip and naming names but it happens all the time within the industry. Semi weekly twitter flamewars and meltdowns where accusations are thrown between fellow performers, Sean Cody disclosing the real name of a performer in a press release, the owner of Next Door Male posted the personal information of one of their big critics (not to mention this persons personal information as well) on a popular gossip forum. I saw plenty of fans supporting Devon Hunter and the commentator, yet not a word condemning these companies actions from any of the major porn blogs.

    1. Parker London was not trying to hide it,there’s an interview from this summer where he talks about his friends being confortable with his lifestyle, probably it’s not about “the finding out” but stalkers crossing lines with their friends and family.I read some posts over at datalounge boards and some users know EVERYTHING about performers. Many were so obsessed they were asking for pictures of their kids or posting info on their grandparents!I wouldn’t be annoyed I’d be shit SCARED if I were one of those porn stars.

      1. He says something completely different here. It’s Rusty Stevens who says most of his family knows what he does and is okay with it. Parker London says his family doesn’t know what he does. Like I said, I think there ARE people in the industry who do write this information anonymously. But the personal information comes from I’m more inclined to believe, comes from people who either know or someone who knows someone who knows them. There is a porn webboard that is rumored to be run by a former performer who is scarily homophobic and has a felony criminal record. Female (and some male) talents names, birthdates, family member names, and facebook profiles are posted there. The only way he could have got that was from other performers and producers sending in 2257 information, their own personal knowledge of course, or perhaps getting it from a AIM database. There have been attempts to shut it down but there isn’t much they can do about it.

Here is the Michael Lucas interview.

I agree with Res and the others though, it sounds like Samuel was very polite and respectful in asking for references to his real name to be taken down. It could have been handled simply and quietly and not the mountain out of a molehill shit that it has turned into.

Honestly though, I don’t feel too bad about Ryan Rockford being outed on thedirty.com though after reading some of his comments on there about how doing gay porn is sick and fucked up and calling people the f word.

        1. His family I have no clue but there’s another interview shot after he worked for Michael Lucas where he says that his friends knows him and are comfortable with his lifestyle,…one of his school friends he played in bands with is a portrait photographer and knew for sure,so it doesn’t seem to me he was trying to hide his porn career at all costs from everybody. Anyways in one of my prev posts I share your same opinion,I’m more inclined to believe as well it’s porn insiders who spread most of the information backstabbing probably their so called friends just to create them problems or get some sort of attention in a twisted way.

  9. Scott says he’s cool with removing Samuel Colt’s real name from his blog yet he’s seem pretty uncool about it to me! So Samuel Colt isn’t Samuel Colt’s real name big deal not like everyone didn’t know that already. This is about respect, it’s not that hard really all you have to do it keep your mouth shut. Samuel has asked for respect in not using his real name sounds fair enough to me and I mean really who’s business is it anyway? Last time I checked just because someone put themselves in the public eye doesn’t mean we own them and have the right to know every little thing about them and yet it seems to becoming more and more of an obsession to do so. I respect porn stars and the work they do, its for my pleasure right so whether they choose to share there real name or not shouldn’t matter. It’s none of my business. Porn’s a fantasy character’s are created why make more out of it than it is? A porn career in porn won’t last forever and there are some pretty judgemental people out there(I personally think no one has the right to judge no one’s perfect) so what wrong with doing what little you can in protecting youself from less excepting part of society.
You say you don’t like the guy but for someone you don’t like you’ve got a hell of a lot to say about him….bit of advice sometimes if you’ve got nothing nice to say sometimes it really is best just to say nothing!

  10. Wow, way to make a big fucking deal over a simple request. Bill/Scott was asked to remove SC’s name from one post, not the whole fucking internet. I was once asked to remove a photo of someone from facebook… had I known this was how I was supposed to react, because, really, we KNOW each other and they shouldn’t ask that shit of me — the whole situation would have been a lot more fun.

Also, tell the truth Bill/Scott… this is you in this video isnt it? It sounds just like you, making a big fucking deal over nothing.

  11. I have met several pornstars and people behind the scenes and I can’t remember their porn names let alone they’re real ones. Shit I suck at names but I am good with numbers. Maybe porn stars should have a number so I know who I’m talking too and about. LOL any way I never use a porn stars real name with the exception of one and everyone knows his porn and real name anyway. So for someone to drop a porn star’s real name is just petty in my book. It does not make you look cool it just makes you look like a douche. but if being a douche is considered cool in your book drop some names bitch it will just make you look super douchey cool. Is douchey a word? well it should be cause it describes the name dropping douche perfectly.

  12. There is another creepy “blogger” out there that posts porn stars real names. It’s a classic move of a porn outsider trying to appear as a porn insider. LAME move from a LAME dude.

  13. Wait, Samuel isn’t ur real name? Damn, and I always try to name drop famous porn stars real names all the time and pretend like we are good friends. I thought that’s how you got cool in the industry.. Shucks..

I’d love for someone to find out my real name and “drop” it every now and then…

  14. I don’t know any of these people but I agree revealing porn star’s real names isn’t cool.
    And kind of pointless.
It is a bit hard to keep secrets in the age of the Internet. An advice for Samuel Colt if he reads this (and any other performer). Unfortunately, there are places where you can’t control what people say but if you want to make sure semi-reputable bloggers don’t post your name, google your porn name and your real name together from time to time to make sure noone has associated the two. I did this with Samuel Colt and his real name and I was surprised that fairly popular porn blogs have more or less openly given out your real name. You should ask them to take it down too.

  15. Piss off R, nobody is talking to you. You need to let the grownups talk for a bit son.

And one more thing Zach, the name is Scott, not Bill. One would think that as a relatively long time reader of my blog and who has posted about my blog here on several occasions you would have made sure you ummm. . . you know. . . had at least that fact straight before you started typing.

But thanks for the traffic bump Zach. That’s always appreciated.

OK R, the sandbox is all yours. Try to play nice with the other kids.

    1. I never read your blog until last week when I noticed you had another meltdown in regards to an e-mail you received from “Black Spark.” Publishing your odd, self-aggrandizing grievances with adult performers seems to be a recurring theme! http://www.billinexile.com/?p=32307

Perhaps former editors of TheSword were readers of your site; I am not (until last week).

    2. Shut the fuck up, Scott. You characterize yourself as a grownup? That’s pretty hilarious, given your extended rants about this and Black Spark. Yes, grownups rattle off lengthy bitchfests over any sort of trivial crap. Get over yourself, you vile POS.

  16. Actually Scott… to really set the record straight… we dont know each other that well; we have spent some time together through work functions but I would not say you know me “personally”. And certainly not to the degree you repeatedly purport in your blog.

I did not sign the message with my porn name; in fact I did not sign the message at all, as you obviously knew who I was. What you are referring to was in fact my email signature that automatically attaches to all of my porn business correspondence. If you DID in fact know me, you would know that I have no fantasy or illusion about being “Samuel Colt” – that is a role I play on film and not in my personal or day-to-day life.

As for your second point, my real name is not attached to most public stuff nowadays. And I have very good reasons for this. My name has not been attached to my Bigmuscle profile for years; the stuff on the Hot House blog are out of my control (and no one really reads that anyway). My bodybuilding endeavors or work in the leather community are just that… and not attached or associated with porn.

And yes, there is an unwritten rule about protecting a porn models real identity, at least by any respectable blogger. What is the point in disclosing a real name anyhow? Just to prove to everyone that you know it? Honestly, I have no issue with being in porn or associated with porn, however, in this day and age when a simple Google search by an employer can bring up your whole background, I would prefer to keep my real name out of stuff attached to porn. I think that is a simple request.

As for your animosity to me, I am honestly perplexed… I honestly thought we had a cordial relationship. But that is your prerogative. I have no ill-will towards you, and I find your blog rather amusing – and I do read it regularly.

Just to set the record straight, there is no business or financial relationship between the Sword and I. I had no idea this article was being posted until I saw my name in the twitter announcement that Zach posted. Personally, I would have preferred the issue just die quietly… but whatever.

So, keep blogging like you always have, keep posting pics of my hot boyfriend like you always have and keep being a bitter cunt like you always have… I like it. But please don’t be a douche and keep private, personal information PRIVATE.

    1. Samuel, to have a cordial relationship with someone as you say you thought we had would imply that we know each other personally as opposed to know each other only through the medium of my blog or your work in porn. The fact that we have done things socially together during work functions would also indicate to most reasonable people a “personal” interaction. It doesn’t mean we’re friends, it just means we actually know each other. Personally.

To say that you did not sign your name at all on the email in question and then to say in the very next sentence that there was an automatic email signature attached to the email would indicate to pretty much anybody that the email was signed with your porn name as I said in my post.

As I also said in my post and in my comment above, I was fine with your request that I remove your name from the post and I did so immediately when you asked. I will say this though, that as one of my readers observed, if as you seem to be, one is concerned about the ease with which future employers may get information about a prospective hire I think that the simple fact that someone did porn at one point is pretty much letting the cat out of the bag. Given the computer age that we live in. A casually used first name is the very least of that persons concerns if he or she is worried about future employment in a non-porn environment. And if that concern is genuine then that person may want to consider a career change.

Lastly Samuel, to characterize my feelings toward you as animus is a bit of a stretch and gives you credit for evoking in me stronger feelings than actually exist. What I said in my comment above was simply that I didn’t really like you all that much. And I don’t really. But that’s ambivalence Samuel, not animosity. And I think that my ambivalence toward you is sort of proven to be justified, given the fact that you apparently need to stoop to calling me a bitter cunt. in your comment. In fact, were I not such an incredibly nice, easy going guy, calling me a name like that when all I’ve done to you is to say that I thought your email to me was pathetic and then to do what you asked me to do by redacting your name from the post could very well get my natural ambivalence toward you to rise to the level of real animosity.

    2. How about this: little boys who can’t handle anyone knowing their “real name” start to keep their clothes on in front of cameras, don’t strip on floats in gay pride parades, bars and bath houses, don’t run around in little tiny leather thongs at BDSM events, don’t post nude photos of themselves on web sites and take full responsibility for themselves if they are so worried about what might come up on Google? Now there is a novel and brilliant idea!

It is 2011, there is ZERO privacy in the world we live in unless you never leave your home or live on a deserted island. Period. To work in a field such as adult entertainment, to be gay and partake in leather/fetish events and to go-go dance and still believe that your are going to have any ounce of privacy, as your character or as your true self, is delusional. To blame someone else, especially a blogger or media for invasion of your privacy after all that you have done, is immature, irresponsible and typically American to blame everyone else but one’s self.

If ANY gay man in porn or working in other sexually oriented businesses is worried how it might affect their future career opportunities simply DON’T DO IT, it’s YOUR call and YOUR responsibility.

      1. How is doing porn immature and irresponsible? I accept full responsibility for my career and what I have done. I am not ashamed of the work I have done even in the slightest, but still I would not want my real name out there. Working in this industry unfortunately comes with things such as stalkers. Why on earth would I want someone like that to know my real name? So even though your opinion really doesn’t matter because most likely you are not in this industry and you have no idea what it is like. But thanks for wasting your time writing that three paragraph response. ;)

        1. Do you not understand English very well? Read, then re-read, this sentence: “To blame someone else, especially a blogger or media for invasion of your privacy after all that you have done, is immature, irresponsible and typically American to blame everyone else but one’s self.” NOWHERE did the sentence say that doing porn is immature or irresponsible; rather, the sentence says to complain and belly-ache about the challenges and difficulties of a job or career YOU chose is not very mature and one only has to look in the mirror where responsibility starts and ends.

Your real name is out there on every single 2257 document related to any single photograph or film ever done in the adult entertainment industry and will be for the LIFE of those items. Everybody from Federal officials to stalkers potentially have access to these things, did you not research all of this first before making a business decision to do this type of work? It is naive and fullish to think that something so fun and frivolous that you do in your 20’s won’t come back to haunt you later in life. You nor Samuel are a victim; quit acting like Sarah Palin screeching all over FOX News and accept responsibility for the decision(s) you both have made and the consequences of those decisions, such as your real names being posted in the media and the fallout that comes from that.

          1. Again you have no idea what you are talking about and frankly I’m done arguing with some pussy hiding behind their computer. Arguing over the internet is pointless and gets you nowhere. So continue to talk shit. I am done.

          2. Whose arguing and/or talking shit? Not me, just stating the obvious cold hard FACTS that you and Samuel (and everyone else with any ounce of business knowledge about adult entertainment) already know and you two guys seem to have a hard time digesting. Again, don’t deflect either of your responsibility in all of this, you can’t have it both ways by accepting all the good things that come of this business you CHOSE to be in while rejecting all the negative. Life doesn’t work that way,

  17. First of all Zach. try to get your facts straight — When I say I’m cool with being asked to remove a name from a post and I, in fact, do remove the name that would indicate to anyone with a brain that I am in fact, cool with it. The point of the post — had you read it with even a small degree of of comprehension — was that Samuel and I know each other . . . wait for it Zach. . . personally, and yet he signed his email to me with his porn name. That’s a social FAIL in any normal persons book. Maybe not yours, but I won’t hold that against you.

Secondly Zach, as I pointed out in my post I used his first name only — a name he himself has had posted on his Big Muscle account since he started doing porn, on his various promos for his body building contests while doing porn AND in any of dozens of pictures in the Hot House Entertainment Blog that are available for anyone to view from when he worked there.

Thirdly, who made up this “unwritten rule” about porn models Zach? Because I never got the memo. Was that a rule you just made up for this post?

Fourth, please don’t presume to qualify an acquaintanceship that I have as anything other than what I claim it to be. Nowhere in my post do I claim to be a friend of Samuel’s as you seem to imply I do. Its you who make that leap. Frankly, I don’t like the guy and I never really have. Now his ex BF on the other hand. . . that’s a different story. So to try to characterize what I wrote as some sort of sour grapes over a failed friendship just demonstrates that you haven’t a fucking clue about what you’re talking about.

I suspect your post here is more about the fact that the Sword fluffs Mustang and Samuel Colt products like a crack hoor slobbering on dirty cock so she can buy her next hit and you’ve probably got a bit of a financial interest to protect, so I guess that’s to be expected from you. Sad, but expected.

    1. Firstly, there’s no written rule that Journalists must protect their sources either, and yet the really good ones would rather go to jail for obstruction of justice than expose the name of the source. So I guess this is one difference between you and the bloggers who choose to protect the performers. They’re good, you’re not!

Secondly, common human decency should tell you not to expose a performer, not to fuck up the future life of somebody who is now providing you with pleasure and in some cases, money! Any of that going around in your house?

  18. Bloggers do have a responsibility to protect they privacy of pornstars. They aren’t movie stars making millions who can afford the insulation and private security that affords. They might do what they do on DVD or the internet and open themselves up to a fair bit of ostracism for it but they don’t need crazy people contacting their families or friends who didn’t ask for it.

So respect their privacy and enjoy their alter egos….unless they are arrogant assholes then it is fine to expose them. For instance, since he’s a complete douche I have no problem telling everyone Cody Cummings real name is ……

GOTCHA! Even he doesn’t deserve that.

  19. I must be in a time warp. Why must a PORN star have a fake idenity? They choose the profession and the public eye is kinda like politics. I get the gist of funny porn names and all. But the super hero idenity shit is toooooo much. If they want to have a day job and a porn job they really should have considered a non-missionary day job with no fear of exposure.

    1. It’s not a super hero identity. That’s because a porn job is a temp job. And even in this day and age, there still is a big stigma going on people who did porn or any kind of sex work. Getting a life and a job after doing porn is still problematic if you are outed. Especially if it’s a managerial position. The general though is that you cannot respect a manager after you saw him with a dildo up his ass or eating a girl on camera. Kurt Wild lost his job at Subway after being outed…so there is no such thing as a job with no fear of exposure.

  20. I had a porn blogger procrastinate in taking down a you tube video that featured a comment from a viewer that stated my whole real name ..hometown and where i went to high school. And it pissed me off to the extreme. I agree with ur statement , zach- in that bloggers have a responsibility to protect the identities of porn stars not exploit them for views or hits.

    1. I understand your position but it’s still impossible to control it especially when you have entire boards who post every single personal detail about porn stars and their mamas anonymously and without any apparent personal gain.Porn insiders and porn stars themselves also release personal info for the sole reason to ruin or create problems to their peers.Sadly the more you complain and try to stop it the more attention you generate, just look what happened with Leo Giamani for example.

  21. Hey Zach,
You know what the funniest bit is?
The offending photo looks like one Chris took at his day job.
You know. As a gofer for Raging Stallion.
And probably has nothing to do with what Chris & Samuel get up to at home…
What a dick that Bill guy comes off as in that post.
