Is there bottom-shaming in the industry? Why are all the bedsheets white? Are fluffers actually a thing?
Long-time porn performer Bruce Beckham answered all these questions and more during his most recent Twitter AMA. Bruce announced that in honor of the Str8UpGayAwards being this weekend, where he is nominated for Best Daddy and Best Actor for his work in Men.com’s Get Your Dick Outta My Son, he would be taking questions from fans about the industry. “WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE BIZ,” the muscle God tweeted to his 87,000+ followers.
We combed through and gathered up the best questions and answers from his quick AMA where he answers once and for all – how the fuck do tops stay hard for such long periods of time?
I think maybe some performers think the pay is a reflection of their value/cache? And I don’t think studios like to discuss rates because they vary by performer. There’s definitely not a standard rate.
Also, we are paid per scene and that could take anywhere from 4 to 12 hours— Bruce Beckham (@BruceBeckhamXXX) January 10, 2020
Not really. The aesthetic does change to reflect trend, but bodybuilder porn still gets made when twink is trending. Porn caters to appetites not trends. And there’s lots of diff appetites.

If you have the courage & the right attitude, anyone can do porn.
Find a studio whose models look like you. There’s old lady porn, amputee porn, furrues, muscle, twink, goth, chubby chaser, et al. Remember porn is a job creating a fantasy, not a way for you to validate yourself— Bruce Beckham (@BruceBeckhamXXX) January 10, 2020
Adapt to survive. Onlyfans and similar platforms are giving performers a way to earn larger profits. Studios provide promotion and impact as well as editing and production value most solo performers can’t match. Both have value to the industry.

Flutters aren’t a thing. Scene partners are the only ones who touch each other. At least in my experience, it’s always a very respectful work environment and there’s a hard line between production and performers.

Never seen bottom shaming.
On the sets I’ve been on, the bottom calls more of the shots since their role is physically more invasive.
So we’ll consider their comfort level and preferred positions.— Bruce Beckham (@BruceBeckhamXXX) January 10, 2020
Glad to hear him say “the bottom calls more of the shots since their role is more physically more invasive.” As a porn viewer and a bottom I think the bottom guys are more often than not the star of the scene. Not saying we don’t need hot hung tops. LOL.
