Brent Corrigan Would Love to “Magic Wand-Away” All Gay-For-Pay Porn Stars

Brent Corrigan is back, everyone, in case you missed it. And he has some opinions.

In a new interview with Bananaguide, Corrigan opens up about his opinions about bareback porn, why he came back to the industry after leaving it, gay-for-pay stars, and why studios have all, as he puts it, “never really liked me very much.”

Corrigan says that as “a self-made model turned producer” he’s been hated for what people see as his hubris, but he says it’s just his “confidence and security,” and adds “I won’t cower and feign modesty just so people think I’m not “too confident”. I am strong — of mind, character and even body (for a dude who’s 5’7), so to act like I’m not feels like a betrayal.”

And now, a couple other pullquotes from the lengthy talk, which is just Part 1 of 2 — the second part comes tomorrow.

On why he came back to porn:

I truly got sick of constantly amending and rewiring who I was so that I could fit into the “mainstream” world… I think people would be surprised to learn it wasn’t because I was broke (royalties on my Fleshjack toyline have remained healthy enough throughout the years to solely support myself). Also, my site just launched a redesign and I’m so proud of it!

On bareback porn and condoms:

[I] would [love] to put an end to all of the pressure to perform and film bareback. But who am I kidding, that will never happen now at this point in the game. Even if California puts an end to condomless production, the industry will move… In the interim the market will buy elsewhere. Or US producers will just leave the business or leave the country.

And, on gay-for-pay performers:

I’d “Magic Wand Away” Gay for Payers. Men taking good paying jobs away from those of us who are secure, proud gay men. We’re the confident ones; comfortable with where we are in life and what we know we want.

And, in case you missed it, here’s Brent’s re-debut scene with Sean Zevran for Falcon.

  1. Even among porn stars, the disconnect between Corrigan’s ego and his talent is quite remarkable. His outsized sense of his own importance is amusing and he seems convinced he’s far more interesting than he actually is.

  2. I think this might be the first time I’ve ever commented on the G4$ issue but now I have a thought on it.

I don’t watch porn for political reasons, i.e. gay rights; rather I watch it to get off. That said, I am an out gay man who is sexually attracted — in person — to out gay men, be they “feminine” or otherwise. I don’t want to have sex with a straight man.

The point of that is this: I am just so much more turned on when I know that my pornstar is gay. I don’t really care if he’s straight, but I’d rather not know that he is. It just kills the romantic side of the sexual fantasy for me. (And, though this is not the point, I definitely would despise any G4$ actor making homophobic comments. That is hypocrisy, pure and simple, not to mention how much it draws into question their honesty (because what G4$ actor is not at least a little gay? And who are the most homophobic people around? Answer: closeted bi/gay men.)).

I wonder how people feel about the idea of gay men doing straight porn? Certainly we could and probably do. I know I have had sex with women in the distant past, figuring things out for myself. Wasn’t my cup of tea, but I was physically able to perform the act(s)…

  3. Love Brent, love his work and his opinions. We all make our own valuations in life, I think his views are interesting.

  4. The issue with gay4pay for proud gay men isn’t the fact that they put on this act, It just a slap in the face that they are praised more than gay men in a gay porn industry. You say you watch porn for chemistry and for good sex, well most of the time these guys are terrible at gay sex and getting fucked by a real gay man while wearing butt numbing creams doesn’t mean your a good actor or enjoying yourself. Half these str8 guys talk shit on twitter about gay men, the gay porn industry and put down homosexuality in general.
I think it puts this idea in guys head that seducing straight guys is worth wild, when in reality it’s probably one of the most detached sexual experiences you can have, you might as well get raped. Yeah they are cute to look at but how are you not be grossed out when they open their mouths ” yeah I fuck guys on camera for money, but I love pussy, bro”.
It’s a tad bit annoying that you can’t have a gay haven even in porn when most of our daily lives are over saturated with heterosexuality and pressure to assimilate into it.
So, yes some gay men are annoyed that we have to see an abundance of straight men in a gay industry, when there is only a handful of gay men in film and television.
So f**k all of you who don’t care because all you do is further this BS that gay men are not capable of being as or more sexy, admirable or beloved as straight men. So thank you for being another statistic of gay men who thirst after heterosexuals who will only see you as a potential sexual threat or an opportunity to become wealthier.

    1. I and many other proud gay men like watching gay, gay4pay and bi men in gay porn. There are some really beautiful and hot scenes performed by models who identify or are identified by others as straight. Just check out the MANY beautiful and sexy scenes at Sean Cody, Corbin Fisher, Bel Ami, Men,com to name a few. So “f**k you and your groundless complaints.

      1. A good portion of the guys who fuck so well from all the studios you just listed aren’t straight or gay4pay, a good portion of “Gay” porn stars came from all three.
If you want to beat off to straight boys, so be it, but don’t give us who care- shit for wanting more out of a industry that’s suppose to support “gay sex’, not str8 prostitution.

    2. 15 years ago I would agree with you 100%. But today’s gay porn standards are…….well no standards. In 1997 the gay men of gay porn were the hottest guys on the planet. It actually made you proud to be gay and when you came out it was reassuring that gay people were beautiful and hot. But look at today what in the world are they doing? The guys that do gay porn are ugly, don’t have the bodies they used to have, have small cocks, cant cum without jerking off side by side like am monkey and the list goes on. I don’t want to watch meth head porn. So because of this reason I welcome the fresh look of str8 guys in gay porn. I don’t find very many gay performers hot and they do nothing for me.

      1. Then you should broaden the type of gay men you watch in porn, there are still plenty of gay men in and out of porn that are hot and desirable. Straight boys are hot while they are young yes, but I can never shake the look of regret and disgust in their eyes.

        1. If you see “regret and disgust” in the eyes of most of the beautiful muscular guys, who are labeled gay4pay, at Sean Cody, Corbin Fisher and Bel Ami, you are seeing things that aren’t there. Time for a vision check.

          1. Shut up your insecure and self hating comments in every porn blogs doesnt reflect us all gay men. We love our models to be gay men. Your straight addiction was annoying.

  5. If so called gay4pay models are taking jobs away from Brent, it is because gap porn consumers prefer them to him. It is called the marketplace.

  6. And now for the hot topic of gay porn 24/7, 365 days a year: Gay 4 Pay models.

I know some of you would find it hard to believe, but I would very much like for the industry to be predominately all-gay as well. But what I want most and above all in my gay porn is that it is hot to watch and the performers meet or exceed my expectations. There’s a good number of gay guys in porn that do that, but there’s also some g4p or bi guys that do that as well. If you are a good performer, are willing to keep adapting and learning in the industry, have little restrictions then I don’t care if you’re gay/straight/bi, I want you to be a good gay pornstar.

This is first and foremost a job/career, so you should always be expected to do your best at some of the most well-known studios, and studio directors and owners should also expect their best from their pornstars at all times. Yes your sexuality is an advantage here. Gays can possibly easier to work with because building chemistry is possible. But there are some bi/straight performers who deliver a great performance as equal to some of the best pornstars that are gay, sometimes even better.

Just enjoy gay porn while it lasts, because the quality from here on out is going to deteriorate more and more. There is no money to be made in gay porn anymore, and with piracy and the move towards camming, every studio will start cutting the amount of scenes they make, the quality of it, and probably even the pay rates for the models. That in itself is one of the reasons why less and less gays are entering porn and more and more money hungry straights/bis are entering porn.

  7. As a gay man I can say I somewhat agree with his opinion on gay for pay. But I look at it from a perspective that when I watch porn it is more of a turn on to see the actors into having sex with each other and being turned on by each other. Not like many gay for pay stars who are just going through the motions of “in and out till I cum”. It’s why sometimes I get turned on by straight male porn stars in straight porn. They are into it, they like it, and their enjoying it(Manuel Ferrera, James Deen, Nacho Vidal, Brian Pumper, Marcus, and Mick Blue come to mind). Gay for payers just don’t do it for me and I’ve been through my share of DL’s and closets in high school and college to know that typically the sex is bad and its just so they can get their nut off. To have to have sex with someone who finds what they are doing with you repulsive and disgusting is quite a turn off.

  8. aww lawd not this discussion again. Let me try dissecting this before I get to the meat of the issue:

Brent I highly doubt it has anything to do with your overconfidence or whatever you want to call it (bitchiness) that most studios don’t want to work with you. It’s just that you’re difficult to work with. You probably have some ridiculous demands and whatnot and are just a huge headache to put up with for hours on end, even if it’s just once a month.

On him returning to porn: I don’t believe he needs it for the money since porn doesn’t even pay that well anymore, especially for someone in an exclusive contract with one studio. He misses being the center of attention 24/7. No one cared about him when he was doing is indie crap so he’s back in porn because he can’t get enough of being an attention whore.

On bareback porn & condoms: well he has announced he’s doing barebacking so I don’t know how he can say he “wishes” to do it when he’s already filmed/will be filming barebacking scenes for his own studio. It’s clearly not a “principle” thing but a money thing in that bareback porn seems to profit more than condom porn.

  9. I wish I could wave a wand and make gay guys HOT again in gay porn. Until then, I will prefer to watch the boring but hot straight guys. I don’t want to watch guys with beards hiding facial wasting, skinny and tattooed bodies covered with injected testosterone created excessive hair all over their bodies.

  10. No, Brent….the reasons most porn studios dislike you are:

    A) you lied about your age and came into the business as a minor and helped perpetuate the stereotype with some that us fags all want to ass-slam teenaged man-poon, AND

    B) you come across most of the time like a hard-core conceited douche. Being assertive is great…but you just come off as an asshole about it.

    1. Yup they keep on denying it but they are. Like @anon he admitted he’s bi so it’s ok for him. Have you read the interview of Bennet Anthony on Manhunt he’s a liar as well. If he’s gay how did he picked a girl over these 8 gay men in a party.

  11. I’m still stunned gay for pay is a problem… I’m sorry, we’re not watching them to affirm their homosexuality, we watch to see two hot guys fuck. If they have chemistry and are into it, great, but the fact that they’re straight shouldn’t change that. Hell, Kurt Wild was probably one of the best bottoms in recent years and he was straight and married with kids. Heterosexuality shouldn’t stop people being in gay porn… if anything, we should be pretty damn proud that a lot of guys are now so comfortable in their sexuality that they’re willing to have sex with another man and not freak out about it (And please note, obviously the ones who are clearly not into it do suck but not because they’re straight, but because they don’t commit. I’ll take a straight guy who put’s his all into it over a gay guy who’s just there any day)

    1. Wow, Sahfh, someone said something smart about gay for pay!

If the guys are attractive and the action good…well, that’s pretty much all I want from porn. I don’t care who these people date or have sex with off camera, it’s on camera I care about. There are plenty of hot straight guys who have filmed incredibly sexy scenes, but they shouldn’t be doing it because they’re straight? What stupidity.

Anyone phoning it in or putting in crappy performances shouldn’t be doing it, straight or gay. The only gay for pay guy I really don’t like is Cody Cummings, as he always looks disgusted by what he’s doing, and he hardly does anything as it is. Much hotter guys willing to do much more, and with a smile on their face.

    2. Yes, Brent really should have said magic wand away the bad performers because that is the real issue. If the scene I’m watching is smoking hot, I don’t give a fuck what the performers do in their private life.

  12. Thankfully, we don’t have affirmative action laws in porn. Porn is audience-demand-driven and Brent, we don’t want a job creation scheme for unemployed ‘gay’ models.

  13. Quite a bit of delusion going on here. There are simply not enough usable gay models to sustain the gay porn industry. That is a fact. Not only that, but there are countless gay men that want to see straight men that are willing to do gay things for a paycheck. Hell even WITH G4P models the quality of men in porn has dropped recently thanks in part to cam sites.

  14. I love you Brent, thanks for taking a stand to these leeches and please use your magic wand to cure those gay men who had straight addictions including some bloggers and interviewers. Have you noticed that NDS wasnt active as they was before. Yes we will win this fight GAY PORN FOR GAY MODELS. <3

      1. I am not hating straight guys PERIOD my friends are almost 99% STRAIGHT..What I wasnt in favor they were here in gay porn. I read an interview about this porn actor James Dean although a hetero but he once had sex with a guy but sticked doing straight porn. I am not the only one here with the same sentiment WE ARE MANY, and We’re thankful that a blog like Sword, Men Of Porn even Manhunt are open to hear our opinions more so even if we couldnt speak English fluently. Say what you wanted I DONT CARE.

    1. Im sorry, but call it what it is straight up bigotry. The fact is that if you did not know the sexuality of any of these performers you would still get your nut. I wish that all of you on this “gay porn for gay models” bs would have several seats, beat your meat, and leave those who want to do the job do the job. FYI, there are plenty of gay models that look like they have little to no pride in their work, am I suppose to rally around them because they are gay? Child please, if you do a job you get paid, I could care less who or what you are claiming. I came to nut not to celebrate gay pride.

        1. As a “journalist”/interviewer, I’m disappointed in your response to Mr. Just What to Get Off. If the “GAY4PAY” issue was as simple Anon puts it, YOU wouldn’t have much to writer about! I will say this though, if what a performer is “claiming” doesn’t matter there wouldn’t be a cottage industry of porn (and now documentaries, YouTube videos of these performers, etc.) around a particular “claim” nor the performer identifying as “straight” whether they were or not.

          1. And all of what you just said has jack squat to do with whether straight men should be performing in gay porn. It is a performance industry and no one is hurt when a person is putting on a performance well, in fact we all get what we came for. Them a pay check and us a nut. Whatever else you want to read into the situation is on you, but the only question is whether a straight man does what he is directed to do. If there are cottage industries, denials, documentaries and the like that is because of the opposition to them working in the industry and the stigma some try to burden straight men with. This debate would not even be an issue if we did not know anyone sexuality and presumed that what you see is the extent of what you get – sex with two or more men.

      1. Because you dont have a pride on yourself as well. If you could care less why are you talking now? And to that interviewer like what I’ve said before you’re a handsome guy that every gay men would wish for but your character ends there. Sorry :-(

        1. Oh dont trip boo boo, I am responding because I am tired of posts like yours that presumes a performers sexuality has anything to do with how well they perform (as it doesnt), which is the reason why we watch porn. I have plenty of pride dearest, enough in fact that I do not need to know who is what in this industry for me to reach the prime directive – that good nut. If you draw a sense of pride from excluding straight people from gay activity then fine, that is your pill to swallow, but dont make it into some moral fight that nobody is truly trippin off of. You make it seem as if supporting gay only makes you a man of pride, all it makes you do is support mediocrity when it should be checked – you know all of those gay porn performances you seem to rally around and excuse just because the performers are gay – whatever. No, sexuality should not matter in this business where it is all about completing the fantasy but you seem to believe that it should. I just call bs on all that. Be concerned with whether the performer delivers on what you want which is a fantasy. If they deliver and they are also straight who the heck cares, it is no deal at all.

      2. “…am I suppose to rally around them because they are gay?” If that’s what you think these discussions are about, then “child please,” just keep jacking-off and leave the posting to those who are more intelligent than you!

          1. I never said that I was smarter, but even if I did what does me being smarter have to do with my opinion that the bigotry you spew is ridiculous. You did not share any truth today, just your opinion love, and the reality is that I feel that simple statements need to be checked at times. No hurt at all, just disagreement. Thats all!

        1. Let me tell you something, I did not attack you personally, so dont presume to know my level intelligence boo boo. Keep what you think you know about me to yourself. You and others of your ilk seem to believe that a persons sexuality has anything to do with how they perform on screen and that is utter bs. If you did not know their sexuality you would have nothing to talk about and that is the point. Porn is not a place for your moralizing and activism. I could see if straight guys in the industry were really hurting gay people (viewers and performers) but since they are not, then please, check your outrage at the door and again, get yo nut. You sir, cannot match wits with me because you have no real argument. You or anyone else cannot point to how knowing a mans sexuality in porn hurts gay men (viewers or performers). If anyone is simple enough to draw any affirmation of their sexuality from porn performers statements of sexuality then they have a problem that cannot be fixed on this board. And yes, this discussion is all about rallying around gay performers just because their gay, cause it sure as heck doesnt have anything else to do with anything important. That is what this intelligent poster knows. In the future, if you dont agree with what I have to say then check my statements dont come for me and I wont for you.

    2. I meant to say this to you in the last post, but you are like some gay men I know that only want gay porn to be all gay men because inside you are angry that straight men do not complete your fantasy. Come on now, you like all the models that say that they are gay because in your head, just like the MANY you talk about, means that you will have a shot and its good to think that you could one day, possibly have a shot with them. If they are really straight then you have no shot whatsoever. Just like a little child somebody telling you cant have something makes you upset and then you want to get rid of them because you dont like them any more. Pah-leeze boo boo, these straight men are not taking a thing from you and any other gay man because they are paid to perform and that is what you got. Get yo life, get yo nut, and keep it moving cause when it comes to porn I do not need another Larry Kramer we just need another…insert director here.

      1. I pity you Mister anon no matter how long your insensitive comments were you’re just another insecure self hating gay man. Jason Priestly completed my fantasy then LOL. You know what I left this basketball player who used to be my friend he’s straight with wife and kids but younger than me. I refused to have sex even a kiss. Because it was wrong although he completed my fantasy for sometimes.

        1. No dear, my comments werent insensitive they were just honest and I am sure a bit stinging to you. I have much security. While you were in the closet waiting to come out, I was enduring the blows from bigots and fighting for my gay brothers in the hood to keep them safe. I am not going to call out where you were during that time. But I am in my 30s now babe, and I draw my strength and pride from knowing who I am as a proud bi black man who has endured all that this city of mine has thrown at me for being proud and is still standing. You throw that self hate word around like you know me or others, but you do not. Your arm chair psychological profiling doesnt move me. I am the one walking young gay black and latino men into clinics for testing, risking my life to give condoms to gay prostitutes in the park at night, and the first to throw hands when one of my brothers are being attacked. I know from pride and I know from self love and any attempt to tie my love of self to what some porn performer claims as their sexuality is bs. You need to check that perspective love, because it is all the way wrong. I could go on but Im sure that you get the point. If watching openly straight men perform gay acts with other men makes me self-hating then dearest, I have been hating myself for a long time because the only thing that I see when I watch gay porn is two men having sex, which for me is all that I need to see and know. Truth told, I have read some of your other comments here and elsewhere and for the most part we agree on things, but on this one we are universes apart. Thats ok, thats what makes debate fun.

          1. Im also in my early thirties I wasnt in the closet anymore since last year. Nope we didnt share the same views honestly this is the first time I see you here. You’re “BISEXUAL” Now I know why you have that views you swim in both waters. If you only said that first I didnt put any efforts talking to you. Bye it’s 1 am. 0:)
