Cher Understands Gays, Prepares for Upcoming Las Vegas Residency

“On every list, I was always on my way out,” she tells
reporter Edna Gunderson, “Gay men understand that I understand what
it’s like to be an outsider. To singers, I wasn’t a singer. To actors,
I wasn’t an actor. I know what it’s like to fight for your place.
Besides, gay men are very choosy, and they have great taste.”

We
also love a diva who changes wigs 199 times during a single hour-long
performance, and a bitch who knows out to eclipse Celine “fucking amazing” Dion without breaking a sweat.

“Creatively, we’re doing something that’s never been done with sets,”
Cher says of the extravaganza. “We can change a city into a forest in
two seconds. You’ll see a different stage for every song.”

We’ll be
there with glitter, bindis, bellychains, headdresses, sequins, wigs,
crop tops, platform shoes, and bell bottoms on.
