It may seem weird that one of the biggest names in the gay porn doesn’t go to gay bars, but his reasoning actually makes sense!
Instinct Magazine just had a quick catchup with performer Colby Jansen and the star revealed some interesting facts about his life and career, including why he doesn’t go to gay bars!
When asked about his large fan base, Colby said that having so many fans and people that recognize him make it hard to go out when he doesn’t want to be spotted.
“I don’t really go to gay bars and stuff like that very often because I get a little like… I kind of like being able to slip through and not be noticed. And so, it… it doesn’t make me uncomfortable,” Colby said. “It’s always flattering when someone comes up out of nowhere, but yeah, I don’t know.”
Colby has had quite the career, so it makes sense that people can easily point him out in a crowd. I’m sure most gay men, especially those in a bear-oriented queer space, would automatically know who he is and that doesn’t really contribute to laying low for a casual night out. So we can’t blame him for not going out. If you don’t want to be recognized, a gay bar is probably the last place an A-list gay porn star should be.
