With a fan base that now stretches from muscle-fetishizing fags to acne-ridden lonely teenagers, “Alexander,” as The History Channel bills him, has finally arrived. The series is called Battles BC, and it layers cartoonish special effects over re-enacted ancient battle scenes.
In one such battle, the porn star tries to demonstrate the fury with which Hannibal killed 70,000 people, one at a time, with swords and spears. It took the infamous warrier six hours. Sounds hot. And educational! With gory battle scenes starring former porn stars, are history textbooks even necessary? See for yourself in this preview clip on the History Channel.

So the History Channel’s re-enactments are now copycatting the visuals of Zach Snyder’s 300 starring Gerard Butler.
I guess that beats the cheap swordplay in spotless museum costumes they’re used to.
