[UPDATED] Dominic Ford Announces Trenton Ducati And Tate Ryder’s Breakup In A Press Release For Their New Scene

I thought I was the one who was supposed to report on gay porn star couples when they break up, but apparently Dominic Ford is a gossip blogger now. Good! Less work for me.

Did you know that multiple Grabby-nominated Trenton Ducati and Tate Ryder broke up? I didn’t, until I read the press release that Dominic Ford sent out last night:

Trenton Ducati and Tate Ryder were boyfriends when we shot this scene. In fact, this is probably the last scene they shot together before splitting up. The scene is from our feature production “Silence of the Cams,” in which Trenton plays Clarence (aka Clarice) and Tate plays Lector…

For what it’s worth, the scene is insanely hot. And even though they’ve filmed together seven million times, they were always the one couple I never got tired of watching together.

First Chris and Teddy, now Trenton and Tate. Pretty soon, the only gay porn star couple left to jerk off to will be Jayden Grey and Big C.

UPDATE: Dominic Ford just sent out another email with replacement copy for this scene, omitting the news about the status of Trenton and Tate’s relationship:

The copy we sent out last night for this week’s scene had draft language in it, which we removed. The previous text contained information that was potentially erroneous and certainly not public. I was not aware of that at the time, and am in the process of apologizing to the harmed parties. Sadly, we didn’t catch the affiliate email in time to make the change. This is the correct copy for this week’s scene. I ask you kindly to use this instead, and replace the text if you have already posted about it. *Please* help me by making sure you use this new copy.

The original email went out nearly 24 hours ago, so it’s a little late to erase people’s memories of the fact that Trenton and Tate broke up. I’d replace the copy here, but even The Sword’s readers aren’t stupid enough to fall for that. The horse is already out of the barn.

Breakups happen. Dominic Ford is sorry. I’m sorry. We’re all sorry! The end.

  1. Calmdownandwatchporn

I agree dominicford shouldn’t be commenting on blogs and it comes off bad yes. But the scenes look hot so just calm down everyone
And watch the hot porn and get off. Stop with all the negativity on both sides.

  2. DominicFord is a hypocritical bitch. A sassy queen who is so self righteous that you think no one can have an opinion if it is negative towards you or your crappy content. I love how you called the guy out about not saying his real name on a BLOG. HELLO HYPOCRITE. IS YOUR REAL NAME DOMINIC FORD? NO I DIDN”T THINK SO… So why don’t you stop hiding behind a porn name and stop being ashamed of your work. Well on the other hand if I were you I wouldn’t want my real name on that stuff either.

    1. By the looks of it on twitter they are no longer together. Tate replied to a post about QueerPornation’s article saying that he loves Trenton and that they will always be friends. On March 15 he posts he is going on a date and for everyone to wish him luck.

  3. I don’t think Jake and Seth are together anymore either….Seth’s tweets the last week kinda led me to get that feeling…that and Jake tweeted that he put belongings in storage and left the country.

  4. Trenton and Tate are still together, they were only separated for like a couple days a couple months ago. They’re back to being a happy couple now, which is evident on their Facebook pages. Dominic Ford really fumbled this one.

  5. I say we wish them both the best, they are great guys.breaking up is never easy. Thought they made a good couple.

  6. While they do seem like quite an interesting pair it’s obvious that Trenton’s greatest interest is and always has been Trenton. Otherwise, I’ve always wondered if it’s a fight for the bottom or what not.

    1. i would actually say Tate’s greatest interest is Tate.
i don’t know if you’ve seen many scenes of his, but he is a total camera hog (which is TOTALLY not a bad thing for the viewer) and the fame and celebrity seemed more appealing to him.
but i don’t know… i don’t want to blame any party. i’m just kinda sad they didn’t work out.

  7. A bit sad to hear as they seemed like such a fun couple. I wonder if it was Trenton himself who was more responsible for the breakup than Tate. I remember seeing the interview on this site Tate was discussing his scenes with other guys and Trenton looked as if he was trying to keep a jealous rage under control lol. Reminds me of that interview of when Logan McCree and Vinnie D’angelo were a couple. Vinnie came out looking like a jealous control freak.

I found the post on the video, but the video itself is not there and has been replaced with a preview of Trenton and Tate’s sex tape.

  8. Its a shame when any relationship ends but Trenton did mention this on his own twitter account within the past few weeks. My best wishes to the both of them.

  9. I’m starting to think gay porn is like Hollywood from the 40s, where they have their stars pretend to be in a relationship to amp up their next project.

  10. I know that Trenton is all the rage and I will probably in the minority but I find Tate much more appealing and hot over Trenton.

  11. Well that’s a step up from using a *death* to promote your website (see the comments sections for your post about Arpad Miklos’ death).

        1. I’ll happily debate my character and integrity with a real person, but not an anonymous troll. Post your name and email address or email me at dominic@dominicford.com with your phone number and I’ll gladly call you and talk to you about it. It was a mistake. Something I tried to catch before it got out and I failed to. I asked Zach to take this posting down, I changed the copy on the site a good 8 hours before this posting ever went up (which is when I realized it must have been in the affiliate email, so I sent a note to all affiliates when I caught the problem). I’ve apologized to the people who are actually affected by it – they are the ones who matter (ie: the performers in question. not you). But I’ll gladly talk to you about it if you want. But not if you are just a nameless, anonymous troll. Your choice: stand behind your words or stop talking and let it go.

          1. One thing on which you are right: the people involved are the ones that matter. If they are fine with what you accidentally did, why do you care what I think?

And I am not an anonymous troll. I am an anonymous commenter. For better or for worse, you are a public person and I am commenting on your public actions as is my right. I added some snark to Zach’s and there is no need to make a mountain out of one single snarky comment and try to make ME the issue.

Unless of course you do feel guilty about twice mishandling some of the personal problems of performers in your understandable eagerness to promote your site. But for the record, that you feel guilty is certainly to your credit. Just think twice before you post, next time one of your performers in a tough situation and there won’t be any more material for anonymous commenters (or Zach) to snark at you!

          2. And I wanna point out that my specific formulation was a word-for-word copy of the way Zach worded the item initially (“use a breakup to promote”…) although unless I am crazy it seems this has been modified along with the update.

          3. I just think that someone who has decided to take to a public forum to try and discredit or malign the reputation of someone else (whether they are a public figure or a private one) should be man enough to stand by his words and not hide behind being anonymous. The internet sadly gives people the right to say whatever they think without any care or regard to the person they are injuring, solely because you can hide behind an “anonymous” pseudonym. Well the harm you do with posts like this is not anonymous, it’s real and it affects real people. And a true man would either choose to keep his misguided observations to himself, or stand up and proclaim them loudly without hiding. You have twice ascribed erroneous motivations to my words/actions which I find offensive. And while you have the luxury of cowering behind a computer screen, I do not, nor would I. So come out of hiding if you truly have conviction behind your words and “snarky” (your word) comments. I say either man up or shut up.

This issue at hand (the whole Trenton/Tate thing) isn’t even a huge deal for anyone actually involved, so don’t think for a moment I am dwelling on it. I am happy to seize this opportunity, though, and say (in general, and on behalf of the whole industry), enough is enough. In this era of bullying and when so many people in this industry are committing suicide, and when young gays are taking their lives over bullying (cyber or real), it’s time we take a stand over people who are malicious, accusatory or slanderous online. I’m a real person, not some target you can sling arrows at because you are bored at home. You misunderstood, twice, something that was far more innocent than you thought. But yet you feel like you have the right to say things that are slanderous or libelous because in your mind there are no consequences. If you at said in person so I could face you then I would at least respect you. Doing so anonymously is sad and something we have to stop. I wonder how many vicious things you’ve said about Erik, Arpad, Wilfried or others on boards because you felt anonymously empowered. Maybe nothing, as I don’t know you. But you seem to have the need to throw judgmental shit out there, so I wonder.

People need to be held accountable for their words and actions. I am certainly accountable for mine. Zach is accountable for his. You should be for yours.

Put some positive energy into the world, and it will come back to you.

          4. LOL. You’re in porn – your entire business hides behind fake identities. In your eyes, it’s an entire industry without any conviction, apparently, save for the few brave enough to use their real names. Having an opinion is not slander nor libel, and I’m not sure why anyone would now give their real name given the fact you’re such a pussy you would even bring up such legal, punitive words to describe someone’s unfavorable opinion of you. You talk about putting out positivity, when it frankly seems like that’s your world view because you deal with negativity so poorly. Try a little positivity yourself, mister. Not everyone has to like you. Learn how to deal with it without having a hissy fit. Hissy fits are not putting out positivity.

          5. Business must be going real bad, Mr. Ford. Get a grip. Don’t blame other people for something they are not responsible for. Kind regards from an anonymous Dutch comentator. You can call me if you want to discuss this further.

          6. You are infact dwelling on it if you are still here responding to commenters. Studios (including yours) will do whatever it takes to get people to visit their site, which includes airing models dirty laundry or using their personals lives to promote a scene.

          7. Nice touch exploiting Arpad, Wilfried, and Erik’s names to try and make your non existent point about your stupid sex scene you are trying to sell. FYI Erik Rhodes was as bitchy, cunty, and snarky as anyone could be on this blog both as Erik Rhodes and the anonymous handles he chose to rile up people on here. He didn’t blow smoke up people’s ass about what it was like to do porn, and that is what a lot of people liked about him.

Using those guys names to try and drum up sympathy or guilt for what was written about you here is about as offensive and gross as anything I have ever read here.

You sent out a silly press release about a scene between two (current? former?) boyfriends and got made fun of for it. Nothing more, nothing less. You work in an industry that reguarly promotes the idea that straight men are hotter then gay men, where your fellow porn producers have no qualms about exploiting their talent’s criminal records (which include murder, rape, and assault) for their own profit, and that unsafe sex has zero consequences. You have no moral high ground to stand on.
