All signs point to this being a hate crime.
The two men were found bludgeoned to death by a family friend, who believes they may have been dead a week at that point. According to another friend, the couple had had their phone line cut in recent months and the word “Faggots” graffiti’d onto their front door. Police have been so far cautious to say that they have not determined a motive yet, but given the recent anti-gay harassment and vulnerability of the two, we’ll put ourselves on the line here and say it was msot probably, in part, a hate crime. Maybe also, in part, a robbery. We add the robbery part because we feel that a true, one-track-minded homophobe would probably rather beat on some tight-T-shirted sluts coming out of an Indianapolis gay bar than a couple of harmless old queens in a house in the suburbs.
Anyway, this depresses us, so we will now go back to cataloging celebrity divorces.
