Exclusive: Austin Wilde Shocker! Departs Raging Stallion, Moves “Next Door”

In an exclusive interview with The Sword, Austin Wilde reveals that he did not renew his Raging Stallion contract (where he just came off a year-long Man of the Year title) and instead opted to sign a three-year contract with Next Door Entertainment. The bad news is we won’t be seeing Wilde in any big budget blockbusters, but the good news is that you (e.g. me) can now jerk off to him every single week in new content from Next Door.

TheSword: Did the offer from Next Door come after you had decided to leave Raging Stallion?
Austin Wilde: Luckily the Next Door offer came within a month or so of the other. I was an exclusive model for a year and a half with Raging Stallion, so the idea of not being one anymore was kind of different…and not a good “different.” So the Next Door offer coming soon after was a relief.

Well thank god you’re not retiring. What led to the decision to leave Raging Stallion? How did they take the news?
I explained that I had been wanting to do other things and [President] Chris Ward was very understanding. There were a couple of reasons why I wanted to leave. I’ve loved working with them and they’re a great company, and I had been with them for an enjoyable year and a half, but I was just ready for a change of pace and something new.

What “couple of reasons”? There were rumors about you pulling out of a recent shoot due to concerns over HIV testing, or a lack thereof?
It had nothing to do with my scene partners, Raging Stallion, or the movie itself. Steamworks was my last movie, which was shot back in April/May, I believe. Around that time I had been finding out about a few people becoming HIV positive–both in and out of the industry. It was a wake-up call and a turnoff from sex for me all around. So instead of bringing my personal issues to the set and possibly giving Raging Stallion a bad performance, I decided to back out of the movie and take a few months to myself.

Performers’ opinions are split on the topic of studios requiring HIV testing for their models (Raging Stallion doesn’t). Some say that a negative test is worthless because you could’ve contracted something in the past month that wouldn’t show up on a test. Others require that all their scene partners be tested. What side of the issue are you on?
I’ve recently started requiring my scene partners to be tested. While a test may not detect something contracted a month prior to getting tested, having your scene partners tested is NOT a complete waste of time. That month’s time is A LOT less than six months or a lifetime of never being tested. So requiring a scene partner to be tested may not eliminate your chances of doing a scene with someone with an STD/HIV, but it significantly lessens it.

What will you miss about being a Raging exclusive?
Being able to say “I’m a Raging Stallion Exclusive.” But it was a great year and a half, so I’m okay with that.

How long is your contract with NextDoor?
It’s a three year contract. But for the first year I still have the ability to work with a few selected studios. I’ll be out in California shooting on average every month and a half. But let’s face it, I’ll be out there a lot more than that for fun!

Good to know. Which models have you shot with so far?
I did a three-way with Rod Daily and Parker London, and I shot with my good friend Brandon Lewis. Also, I did what was, in my 2 1/2 years in the industry, my favorite and most fun shoot ever, with Marcus Mojo (aka Landon Mycles).

Stay tuned for Austin Wilde’s Next Door debut in early 2011.

  1. Austin probably banged some dude off camera who was poz or became poz after the scene. Had and HIV scare, and now is working for satan.
I’m glad I turned him down.

  2. Austin, I fully respect your decision and wish you the best in your future. I am sure RSS feels the same. As one of your fans, I am glad that respect us enough to turn in a good hot performance and not just “phone it in”. Thanks, and I can’t wait to see your new episodes @ Next Door!

  3. Austin, I wish you nothing but the best of success and happiness in your future….remember who will always he here with you, your friends. Dont let the detractors get you. have a sense of humor and live your life YOUR way Much Love Papa

  4. While I can’t publically agree with ALL of that, thanks for the support guys! lol. Trent, I actually have some scenes on NextDoors’ sites. Although that was 2 years and i’ve changed a bit since then. Keep your eyes posted for new stuff coming out soon ;)

  5. Ok sorry could not leave this one alone. What an ass! Maybe Austin should tell Chi Chi, safe sex is not sexy because he demands to know and then reject scene partners. Maybe a piece on the truth about HIV transmission would be nice, its actually not that easy……read up.

  6. Hmmm where to begin….no big deal, surely no big loss for RS. I guess in the future they should truly do some work to figure out who their ‘man’ of the year is because clearly Austin isn’t. I could rant but I’ll leave it at that.

  7. I never understood the exclusive contract deal and why that’s good for performers.. Unless RSS is paying a shitload of money for a performer to commit themselves, what’s the point? Personally, I think that Austin has a ton of potential, but that potential is stifled by RSS. I could care less if a model is an exclusive. For example, I like Austin but Raging Stallion’s brand of porn, while popular, does little for me. So, for a year and a half, I have been waiting to see Austin in something that I would enjoy. Maybe Next Door Entertainment will allow him more flexibilty.

Lastly, I respect that Austin only wants work with studios that tests their performers. I’m happy that this is a priority at NDE.
