and the Sword cornered him this week for a few questions about this business called porn, being a first-time nominee and being married to fellow porn star Tristan Phoenix.

Tristan burst onto the scene in 2007 with Endless Crush, and he also appears in the GayVN-nominated Western epic To the Last Man, as well as Best Men Parts 1 & 2. 

You’re nominated for Best Cum Shot, Best Sex Scene (Duo – with Alexy Tyler in Contact) and Best Threesome (for Fleet Week) at this year’s GayVN awards – would you say you were robbed in not being nominated as an individual performer?  (We would!)
I was surprised to get this many nominations at all.  I was pretty sure about cum shot but the other two were a surprise.  Obviously I would have liked to get additional awards, but hey, there’s always next year.

Do you have any secrets to share for shooting an award-winning cum shot?
If you have a glutton for punishment, I would say edge (act of bringing yourself to the brink of climax) yourself for as long as you can go. For the movie Fleet Week, I went almost a month. I guarantee you if you manage to do that, you will have an impressive cum shot.

What led you to want to be in the adult industry? Did you already know people in the industry?  What’s the best part about it?
I always like to have sex and I had a knack for being able to last for extreme periods of time. I also enjoyed showing off my body and getting attention from others.  People I hooked up with told me I should do porn, so here I am.  I knew a couple of people in the industry, mostly behind the scenes people.  The best part about it is you get paid to have sex with hot guys and enjoy the fact that people are getting off on it.  And free snacks on set.

So, you’re married to Tristan Phoenix.  What would your advice be for other porn stars in relationships with porn stars?
Being with a fellow porn star, the hardest obstacle to overcome is being in competition with your significant other.  Remember to keep your work and real life separate, always keep in contact after scenes and reassure the person you’re with that in the end they’re the person you want to be with.

What do you like to do in your spare time – besides hang out with the other Tristan?
I’m a couch potato during the weekdays, because I do work a 9-5 job.  I usually come home and play my xbox 360 or watch netflix movies or tv.  On the weekends, I like to go out to clubs because I’m working on being a dj and I love music.

Who/What are you wearing to the awards?
Oh my god, whatever my husband picks out.  I’m not good at dressing up or knowing labels.
