Over the weekend, Drag Race winner Violet Chacki alleged she was thrown out of a Paris gay club for Le Dépôt being ‘too femme’.
Chacki was in Paris for Fashion Week. After the incident, she immediately took to Facebook. More than 3,000 people left the club one-star ratings and scathing reviews. Now Le Dépôt is responding to Chacki’s claims a Facebook post of their own.
Of course, Le Dépôt views this very differently. Is this really about masc V. femme or because Violet exposed their secret to a worldwide audience?

Or, back to our regularly scheduled pornography
European and some American clubs absolutely discriminate, especially if they feature public sex spaces or backrooms.
This is from recent visitors to a Berlin club — “We learned that entrance came with a strict no perfume policy. If you were wearing deodorant or cologne, you were turned away in an instant, which makes sense, because the smell of men is part and parcel of the eroticism of gay sex.”
Violet was denied entry to the downstairs “play” area for daring not to be stereotypically masculine. We need to evolve and strive for complete equality, whether it offends our libidos or not.
Funny, I was just at Le Depot last week hosting the PinkX Gay Video Awards and they were super nice to me. :)
