Reality TV personality Josh Duggar has spent the past two years delivering the FRC’s message that the LGBT community is a threat to kids. Turns out, he should have been looking in the mirror.
Josh, one of the stars of the show 19 Kids and Counting (which began as in 2008 as 17 Kids and Counting) was 14 in 2002 when he touched the breasts and genitals of a girl while she slept. As reported by In Touch Weekly, the girl told his dad, Jim Bob, and Josh confessed. A year later, four more girls came forward. Josh was shipped off and upon his return, Jim Bob and the church elders went to the police. He received a “stern talking to” by former State Trooper Joseph T. Hutchens.
Then Hutchens himself was soon convicted, as revealed in the Daily Mail, on child pornography charges in 2007, paroled in 2010 and then caught and convicted again and sentenced to 60 years. The case against Josh was then almost forgotten until In Touch Weekly published the entire 33 page 2006 police report.
From left to wrong, convicted kiddie porn lover and former AK State Trooper Joseph T. Hutchens along with Josh and 2016 Presidential hopefuls Senator Rand Paul, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, and Senator Ted Cruz.
For his misguided defenders, who feel Josh’s young age at the time means he deserves a forgiving reprieve might have been able to float that theory the first time it happened. The second spate of four more molestations happened a year later – by then he clearly knew the error of his ways. Even his own father found the scope of problem serious enough to take Josh to police department himself. Nor was this Josh’s spiritually driven mea culpa: his admission only followed being outed by the press. Ditto for Jim Bob and Michelle. If this is what “Christian Values” are really all about, I only have two words to say: Happy Hannukkah.
In June of 2013, as covered by the Washington Post, the now 25-year-old Josh was hired by virulent anti-gay group the Family Research Council (FRC) as their executive director of FRC Action, the political arm of the Family Research Council, in charged with “promoting family values.”
And Josh got right to work:
Defending Anti-Gay Chic-Fil-A, the repugnant homophobe Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, joining Mom and Dad for a bus tour supporting anti-gay, anti-choice candidates in the 2012 election, and working with the hater Benham Brothers to support Kansas Governor Brownback keeping the “state pure and family friendly.”
Josh actually became the favorite shot-gun rider for the entire GOP 2016 Presidential Clown Car, prompting the Washing Post to proclaim today Republicans’ Josh Duggar problem

And since one good tweet deserves another …
Some in my timeline seem delighted by #JoshDuggar news. Little girls were molested — that's nothing to celebrate. But, yeah, fuck that guy.

Update:The backlash against the show has been crushing and leading the charge is “Mama June, who felt TLC was giving the Duggars a pass for far worse conduct than hers, which caused TLC to pull the plug on Honey Boo Boo.” TMZ is now reporting that TLC – who coincidentally was running a 19 Kids & Counting marathon last evening despite the breaking news, has just pulled all airings of from their line up adding “the fate of the show is uncertain.”
