Five Other Gay Porn Stars Who Did Music Videos

To be fair, it takes a lot of courage to go from one kind of on-camera entertaining (having sex) to another (lip syncing), so I give credit where credit is due. These guys are incredibly brave! That, or narcissistic.

Note: Each clip gets an auto-tune score from 1-5, with 1 being “barely noticeable auto-tune” and 5 being “auto-tuned to within an inch of his life.”

Colton Ford

colton

Probably the best produced with the least offensive vocals of the bunch. The song isn’t that bad! It’s like if Justin Timberlake were gay and having a mid-life crisis.
Auto-Tune Score: 3.

Dean Monroe

The drop dead gorgeous Brit channels Pet Shop Boys and Liza Minnelli, at the same time.
Auto-Tune Score: 5.

Chi Chi LaRue/RuPaul

chiich

This isn’t Chi Chi singing, and Chi Chi isn’t a gay porn star. So what. Music videos are as much about performance as they are actual “singing,” and I love camp and soft lighting just as much as the next fag, so this makes the list.
Auto-Tune Score: 5.

Johnny Hazzard

johnny-hazzard

Because I refuse to say anything remotely critical about one of the nicest guys in gay porn, I won’t say anything at all.
Auto-Tune Score: 4.

Jeff Stryker

jeff-stryker

This is the only clip taken from an actual gay porn film, Bigger Than Life, and thanks to the awkward crotch thrusting, a well-oiled chest, and the zany gal playing electric keyboards, this could easily be mistaken for any of the “real” ’80s hair band rock ballads. Awful and wonderful all at once.
Auto-Tune Score: 0!

  1. The Jarics did a song “Hit Me Up”. Although they didn’t do a music video to accompany their song, it’s on Youtube and the iTunes store

  2. I think Dean Monroe’s “auto tune” score should be “11”.
I know you said 5 was the highest, but (Spinal Tap Brit voice) “that boy was auto-tuned to eleven.”

  3. Wow, Johnny Hazzard’s rules in music too, auto-tune or not! The auto-tune should be a 2 not a 4, to my ears sounds like there is a bit of auto-tunning in the chorus, but I think it’s more for artistic effect then smoothing the voice. And Colton’s auto-tuned within an inch of its life all through out the thing.

  4. Actually Zach Jeff’s POP YOU IN THE POOPER was the better song. Kind sounds like the country/pop early 1980’s music that was popular like Eddie Rabbitt or Kenny Rogers. Puts everyone else to SHAME.
