Gay Life Coach And Matchmaker Says He Knows “How To Stay HIV Negative Forever”

Forever is such a long time, but if you say so. Here is a press release I just received (that’s the life coach, Paul Angelo, on the left):

If peace of mind and staying HIV Negative is one’s goal, Paul Angelo, the gay matchmaker from Miami has a new controversial program that every HIV negative gay man should hear about. This new controversial program is only available for Angelo’s current customers. Readers may visit Angelo’s website by clicking on the link below: www.PaulAngelo.com

Peace of mind is a goal for me! And, so is staying HIV negative, so I clicked the link! But, there’s nothing there about HIV. Let’s keep reading the press release, I guess?

I want to stay HIV negative “forever,” but how?

According to Angelo, “To remain HIV negative – a typical gay man endures fear and uncertainty that leads to anxiety about sexuality. Sex is not fun any more.”

Well, that’s true.

“Barebacking is now the norm rather than the exception. Porn movies will not sell if actors use condoms. HIV Poz men also go “all the way” and rebel against all norms for healthy sexual behavior and venture out into fisting, large sized dildos and the use of poppers.

Large sized dildos! Large sized dildos mean someone is going “all the way” and being “unhealthy”? That seems unfair. I don’t know if I can trust this gay life coach.

“What used to be unthinkable is now demonstrated in porn movies, gay bath-houses and eventually makes its way home.

“Safe sex is a joke too. The popularity of barebacking has taken over the gay world and no one is safe any more. Bathhouses in Fort Lauderdale such as “The Club” or “The Slammer” put out at least 20 new HIV Poz men on Saturdays,” says Paul Angelo, the gay matchmaker.

“More and more Hiv Poz Men lie about their status. As an example, a gay man on Craigslist will say he is Hiv Neg when his viral load is undetectable. And the NSA (Non Strings Attached) sex is a metaphor for ‘HIV Poz Sex.'” says Angelo.

“Why is this important and why someone should talk about it? Because if a 23 year old or a recently divorced dad who is 45 year old goes out into the gay world, they have only a 30% chance of remaining HIV neg. In some cases they are guaranteed to turn HIV poz,” says Angelo, the gay matchmaker.

Well, now I’m scared. 70% of gay men have HIV?! And remind me never to go to Fort Lauderdale, where presumably 100%(?) of gay men have HIV. Why is the matchmaker (who I thought was a life coach, but I guess you can be both?) trying to make me more of a shut-in than I already am?

“In the 70s, sex was fun and easy. And today sexual contact is now associated with diseases, fear and emotional stress.”

So, how does a person remain HIV negative forever?

Please, just tell me!!

Paul Angelo, Miami’s gay matchmaker introduced a controversial coaching program where he teaches gay men over 40 how to remain HIV negative and how to relax and enjoy sex again.

“First, we know that if a man is a “feeler” from MBTI personality testing, he is more likely to get carried away and engage in unprotected sex. A man who is a ‘thinker,’ someone who decides mostly on logic, will stop and choose to have safe sex even though he is having a great time.” says Angelo. “Basic personality testing and behavioral testing is a must to determine one’s ability to control behavior at times of pleasure. Hoping for the right decision at a time of an emotional ‘high’ is a prescription for becoming Hiv poz,” says Angelo.

So to stay negative, you just have to be a “thinker”! Got it. I am a thinker. I love thinking! Stay away from people who don’t “think,” and you won’t turn poz. Only idiots get HIV. Only people who “feel” things and get “carried away” get HIV. It all makes sense now. Anything else I should know before I go out and stay HIV negative forever?

Because of the controversial and graphic nature of this coaching program, Angelo is unable to provide further details. For more information, readers are asked to visit Angelo’s website at:
www.PaulAngelo.com

Oh? I went to the site, but there’s nothing about HIV there! Does that mean I already “have it”?! If you register for a membership, which I did, there is nothing about HIV either. But I did find this video.

Should I hire a gay life coach?
Are you worried about catching HIV in a gay bathhouse in Florida?
Is Paul Angelo just trying to make a “quick buck” off of people afraid of AIDS, or does he genuinely care?
Can you tell when someone has AIDS just by looking at them?
If I already have HIV, will Paul Angelo still be able to find me a match?
Have you ever gotten “carried away” and gone “all the way” and contracted HIV from a large sized dildo?

  1. Richard Johnson

I’m confused by the video. Is Zachary Quinto 40+ years old now or did this guy just make some crappy movie in Windows Movie Maker by exploiting the most recent out Hollywood celebrity to promote his business?

  2. SOOOOO basically he’s trying to scam people by exploiting our wish to remain negative by repeating mindless drivel that you can find in any book that doesn’t even talk about the same subject. okay just show me the exit door

  3. Here’s how you “stay HIV negative forever”: Find a partner who’s negative and have sex only with him. Been doing that for 17 years now, and not only am I negative, I’m also having TONS of hot sex – barebacking, cum swallowing, the whole nine yards. Can’t beat that. ;-)

    1. but are you really being your “best” you? (he asks with pursed lips and more than a hint of condescension in his voice)

      1. Hmmm…honestly, whenever I’m going down on my husband’s hot uncut cock and he starts shooting yet another sweet load into my mouth, at that particular moment I’m not really thinking about whether or not I’m being my “best”–only that I’m giving him really “good” head. ;-)

      1. OK, I guess you’ve got me there. I have, however, used a pretty sizable dildo on my husband before, but never one of those monstrosities you see in porn. So do I at least get points for that? ;-)

  4. There are a lot of self help books that insist that we create our own fate by what we believe and focus on. Negative minded people attract negative experiences while positive thinking people will attract good and pleasurable experiences.

I believe Paul Angelo is trying to cash in on that basic premise like so many other spiritual gurus out there. He just puts a ‘gay’ spin on it for a gay target audience.

  5. Reminds me of a joke from “Rick & Steve” where a guy used “The Secret” to keep himself disease free in lieu of condoms.

  6. I read about this on another blog(can’t remember where), seems he thinks that “anal” sex is not acceptable with or without condoms. That it is somehow “unnatural”

I definitely think he’s playing on fear. The man sounds like a sanctimonious, pompous ass.

    1. Sounds like the antithesis of Treasure Island Media people. Guess the universe balances itself out by cancelling extremes.
