Why should the judges have all the fun?
I can’t believe the freedom that the younger generation has now. It’s rewarding to see the consequences of this for the common good in more freedom of human expression and behavior. My only fear is the younger generation doesn’t understand, and won’t for some time, feel and understand it’s possible the negative consequences.
Our current President has presented, in my mind, a very scary, undisciplined, crude, and dangerous example of human behavior. The Chinese philosophy of “ying and yang” presents itself here, and maybe we’re going through a very serious phase where privacy, secrets, manners, eticate, etc. are now viewed as obsolite and out of date, “old hat, ” as it were. Freedom without responsibility (known as ” licence”) may be our challenge now, as we watch and see in Trump and other irresponsible folks among us.
But, to be honest, as a 79 year old, educated, white, gay, and married male, I enjoy the honest view of life and the people, who make it, act without the certain fears of the past.
You all have my very best wishes without hesitation. I’m most appreciative of the way society is getting rid of the oppressiveness of the past and all the fear, guilt and harm it caused it caused for so many.
But I am concerned, but trusting that we don’t loose touch with those customs that help us be tolerant, understanding, and loving of our fellow humans.
