The Sword is saddened to pass along the news of health struggles for veteran gay porn performer Tyler Roberts, who is fighting for his life in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Palm Springs, California.
The news was shared by his boyfriend Aaron Thomas, who posted to Twitter this week that Tyler has a long road to recovery:

A GoFundMe campaign has been started and shares the following information about Roberts’ condition:
“Our funny, sweet, sassy, gentle giant, [Tyler Roberts], has fallen into critical condition while on vacation in Palm Springs. He’s currently battling for his life in the ICU, facing heart, liver, and kidney failure, among other dangerous ailments. We need him to focus on healing and stabilizing, so we’re asking his family, friends, and community for support. We need to raise funds for his bills (rent, car, utilities, etc.) and medical costs to relieve any stress while he is in the hospital. We’re also raising money for his mother, Lori, and partner, Josh, to be able to stay in Palm Springs by his side. Neither of them lives in California, so they will need funds for their long-term stays and food since they cannot work. Please keep [Tyler] in your thoughts and send healing energy his way during this scary and unpredictable time.”
In a follow-up Tweet, Aaron noted that Roberts was on the mend but not stable enough to be transferred:

Roberts began his gay porn career in 2008 with a scene in Titan’s Home Invasion, then took a four-year break before returning. Frankly, I would never have thought that his childhood health problems would return to him in such a violent form in adulthood.
As soon as I knew about, I asked my sons to take care of my stuff, and I returned to the country twelve years later with my daughter, to get news more quickly, without intermediaries who would risk invent additions of non-existent stories, then after all my daughter is his niece.
In these moments even all love is not enough.

Mother nature is sometimes cruel with the best and kindest hearts.
