In other news, organizations and fundies looking to fight the gay marriage ruling and to get a proposition for a state constitutional amendment on the ballot November, have filed a legal request for a delay in the decision’s effective date. Organizations like Proposition 22 Legal Defense Fund and the Alliance Defense Fund are hoping that by delaying the ruling’s effective date until November they can avoid the unstoppable momentum that thousands upon thousands of marriages are going to have for the cause prior to the election.
In the opposite corner, we have HRC donating half a mil to fight the haters, and the Governator pledging to fight any efforts for a constitutional amendment as well.
Also, Ellen Degeneres had McCain on her show, and she said the separate but equal talk about civil unions is “like saying, ‘Well, you can sit there, you just can’t sit there.'”
