Adult Video News has announced that the 2021 GayVN Awards, originally scheduled to take place January in Las Vegas, has been changed to an all-digital event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to the GayVN Awards, the AVN Media Network announced that the 2021 AVN Awards Show, AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, AVN Novelty Expo and VIBE Program—which typically all take place the same week in the same facility—are also going all-digital in January. The 2021 GayVN Awards Show, presented by Chaturbate, will return on Jan. 18, 2021, live on GayVNStars.com. That platform hosted the virtual Grabby Awards in May, and also hosted a 2020 GayVN Awards Watch Party featuring live appearances and Q&As with some of the winners (including Cade Maddox with his cute doggies).
After a seven-year break, the GayVN Awards returned in 2018 and have been held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas the last three award seasons. The venue closed shortly after the 2020 Awards and is being renovated and re-opened as a Virgin property, where the 2021 event was supposed to take place.
