[UPDATED] George Takei Accuser Backtracks Allegation

Last December, Scott Brunton alleged Takei spiked his drink one evening in Los Angeles in the early ’80s and then groped him. But now he has a different story.

As Harvey Weinstein turned himself into police this morning, the truth sent one man to jail.

Also today, the truth may have just sent one man free.

And that man is George Takei.

Last fall, during the shock of the burgeoning #MeToo movement, one allegation in particular took us all off guard as former model Scott Brunton accused George Takei of drugging and fondling him decades earlier.

Then an ill-timed joke on The Howard Stern Show during “Cock Week” only added fuel to the fire. (See the original posts below)

Bouyed by a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the story went instanly viral. Immediately, George denied the allegations.

“The events he describes back in the 1980s simply did not occur, and I do not know why he has claimed them now. I have wracked my brain to ask if I remember Mr. Brunton, and I cannot say I do.”

It was only after reading the accounts of Bill Cosby’s drink-spiked sex attacks and rape allegations that Brunton wondered if he was drugged.

However, as GayStarNews is now reporting, “then 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, toxicologists have assessed his experience and ruled out a spiked drink.

Brunton did not admit to the Hollywood Reporter at the time that he had also been drinking wine earlier that day. He only said he had ‘two drinks’ with Takei.

When learning of the toxicologists’ observations, Brunton admitted ‘it makes [Takei] a little less sinister’.

The Observer questioned Brunton about his conflicting stories of the event. To one outlet, he claimed Takei was shirtless. In others, he said he was wearing a white t-shirt.

“And finally, he admitted that Takei may not have sexually assaulted him.

‘He was clearly on his way to…to…to going somewhere,’ Brunton said.

‘So you don’t remember him touching your genitals?’ he was asked.

And Brunton confessed he did not remember any touching.

He admitted that it could have been a ‘misunderstanding’, but insists it was an ‘unwanted situation’. He finally told the Observer ‘it might not have happened’.

Brunton added: ‘He was 20 years older than me and short. And I wasn’t attracted to Asian men… I was a hot, surfer, California boy type, that he probably could have only gotten had he bought, paid for or found someone just willing to ride on his coattails of fame.’

The episode itself was ‘not painful,’ Brunton said, laughing. ‘It didn’t scar me.’

“A fabricated coffee meeting. Key facts withheld or walked back. A “great party story” about a sexual assault—which the accuser now says may not have actually happened.

What happens when an activist’s legacy is tarnished by the story of an old friend who later says it could have all been a misunderstanding? And how do we process such an anomaly in an era of overdue social justice?” ~Shane Snow, The Observer.

The truth has set George free – and few in our community are more deserving.

[ORIGINAL POST – November 13]
“[Howard] rephrases the question and asks Takei if he had ever sexually assaulted another man. Takei responds to the question by weirdly saying “Hey, boner.”

As we covered at the time, the Howard Stern Show kicked off their month-long “Cocktober” celebration with the Falcon Studios Group star JJ Knight. Fellow exclusives Johnny V, Austin Wolfe were next, and finally Skyy Knox, Gabriel Cross, Rikk York, and Fernando del Rio.

Along with Johnny V and Austin Wolfe, George Takei was a featured guest on the Oct. 16, 2017. It’s not what he did, but what he said, that is now adding another layer to the recent accusations against Takei by former model Scott R. Brunton who said Takei 36 years ago had groped him without his consent in the actor’s home. But should it?

george takei howard stern assault allegationsAs HuffPo reported, “those that know me understand that non-consensual acts are so antithetical to my values and my practices, the very idea that someone would accuse me of this is quite personally painful,” Takei wrote in response to the accusations.

Adds Unicorn Booty, “Takei denies any of this ‘groping’ was work-related or done from a position of power.

Stern asks of Takei, “All your years involved with cock, you never hassled anybody or grabbed their cock”? Co-host Robin Quivers jumps in with a Trump reference and reiterates the question. “You never grabbed anybody by the cock?” To which Stern asks again, “Yeah, did you ever grab anybody by the cock against their will?”

Their questions are met with a very awkward radio silence from Takei before both hosts let out a long “Uh oh!”

Takei then says these men “would come to [his] home,” to which Stern replies, “So what you mean is that there would be some guy there, hesitating to have sex with you, and then you gave him a gentle squeeze on the balls or something?”

Takei responds, “More than a gentle.”

George has been a very effective champion of LGBTQ rights but that doesn’t give him a pass on the fact no one has the right to put their hands on another person in a predatory way period. However, he’s not Kevin Spacey. Or Harvey Weinstein. Or Judge Roy Moore.

Frankly, there may be some smoke here, but to me, no fire.

Are people reading more into this than what’s really here? Or, are people just now connecting the dots that were there all along? Personally, I think it’s the former and not the latter. Watch this blog.

“A representative for Takei did not immediately return HuffPost’s request for comment.”

[Uodate #1 – November 13]“Out of context, I agree that the joke was distasteful, and I’m very sorry he and I made fun out of a serious matter,” ~George Takei

Good for you, George. The way to end a mini-controversy is to get out in front of it and show smoke doesn’t always fire.

As the NYDailyNews is reporting this morning, “Takei, 80, appeared on “The Howard Stern Show” in October and was asked if he had ever grabbed anyone, and after a long pause, he did say he had grabbed men consensually, but not in a work or a power setting.

“Many have raised concern over a back-and-forth between Howard Stern and myself, where we joked about me touching men during my Star Trek days fifty years ago. Out of context, I agree that the joke was distasteful, and I’m very sorry he and I made fun out of a serious matter,” he wrote on Facebook Monday night.”

Most of the time, smoke does mean fire. I think think of no better time for an exception to that.

Live long and prosper, George.

  1. Isn’t making a false statement a crime? Isn’t it a defamatory case here? Send that kunt to jail and stop all this MeToo boo hoo at once.

  2. Wow.. so great from this fake story now George has been banned from the Stern Show… I wonder if they’ll take him back now or because of this the trust has been broken…

  3. George is 80. He’s been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ visibility and rights. Let Sulu get some dick, consensually of course.

  4. So, we are exposing a lot of famous scumbags lately but let’s not fall prey to hysteria. I wouldn’t place this old guy in the same category as Harvey Weinstein or even Kevin Spacey. There’s inappropriate behavior, unwanted sexual advances, harassment and then there’s predatory behavior. Let’s not brand George Takei a rapist for being “grabby.”
