The legendary directrix spent her 50th birthday with an oreo cake, a white boy and a bunch of black men. That’s right: her birthday party coincided with the filming of the Black Balled series’ seventh installment, Jail Slammed, which has sparked some healthy debate about whether black gangbang movies are racist or not.
Before he hopped aboard that white boy ass, Race Cooper wondered aloud whether this sort of movie was bad for the black man’s cause. But he ultimately concluded that “If guys want to get off on the black gang-bang, so be it…. I’ll just look at it, as a whole bunch of men having fun, punching a prostate.”
(Incidentally, Race Cooper took to his blog over the weekend to ask why more people aren’t up in arms over ageism like they over racism.)

I guess “tired of white boys” was directing his comments to me…a black man. But he was right about one thing — I don’t watch that crap. I personally can live without the “black man in prison” fantasy.
I find it endlessly amusing that the the colored fellow defending the movie is the one being racist. I think the real question here isn’t if a black gang bang in jail is racist or not, I think it’s that is this art imitating life, or life imitating art? =P
I would love to make a movie like this and I definitely like watching them!
I might not call it “Blackballed.” I might not always depict black men in prison, either — there are plenty of black men to be found in street gangs, crack houses and fast food kitchens, as well.
