Grabbys Issue Statement on Performer of the Year Confusion

As we noted in our coverage posted Saturday night, May 29th after the conclusion of the Grabby Awards, there was some confusion with the Performer of the Year co-winners (the Grabbys typically name two winners in this category).

Troye Jacobs was named a co-winner along with Sharok, although Jacobs wasn’t listed as a nominee on the Grabbys site leading up to the awards—nor on the list of nominees during the telecast:

Jacobs was not in attendance for the virtual show, although Sharok—looking gorgeous as usual—was his typical gracious self in accepting the award and also asking if Jacobs was in attendance so they could share the moment.

When we first posted the nominees for the Grabby Awards America back on April 10 (when voting opened for the fan-voted awards), Jacobs was also not listed as a nominee on the main list either.

Jacobs also seemed confused, and posted this on Twitter the next day:

On Monday, Stacy Bridges, Show Director of the Grabby Awards America, issued a statement about the confusion:

“The first thing I wish to make clear is that Troye Jacobs was absolutely the rightful winner. The mistake was not in who won, Troye was nominated, his name did appear on the voting platform, the public could vote for him, and he did receive the highest number of votes.

The mistake was an administration error. When I sent the list of nominees to our website manager with the request to publish the list, Troye’s name had been left off by mistake. I am sincerely sorry for this mistake and apologize unreservedly for any distress this may have caused, particularly to Troye.

Troye should not in any way be made the victim here; he was, along with Sharok, one of the rightful winners, both of them receive the highest number of votes from the public.”

(I didn’t vote, so can’t conform one way or the other if Jacobs was on the actual voting site.)

On Monday, Jacobs also posted these messages to Twitter:

So there you have it…what do you think of this snafu? Did any of you vote?

In the meantime, check out both Troye (seen below with big-dicked Zach Astor) and Sharok at CockyBoys!

Ok ,tantrum over? Thats why there ere so many different catagorgories and then the underground to each their own that’s what makes the queer universe from 18 to 108.

  2. Troye Jacobs???? Who???? Lol!!!! He fucking looks like Pee Wee Herman, lmfao!!! The gay porn industry has finally lost its shit putting trash like this out to the public Fucking hilarious!

  3. I voted and I absolutely do not recall Troye Jacobs being on the list for Performer of the year. While I didn’t vote for Sharok for this, I do believe he rightfully won as he is very popular. I’m very confused by this whole thing. Something is fishy. I don’t think Troye Jacobs had anything to do with it, he and Sharok are the unfortunate victims of something shady.

this was a nasty stunt by the various porn houses themselves, its a vicious game when money is involved and they will kiss you and put a knife in your back at the same time ,europe holds little for us,but their stars make little money,if you play the game go ask the Netherlands how to regulate it,he its,he who has the GOLD makes the rules, and due to the recent deaths older men look out after the new members,if you want any find of a community, otherwise its just another trip to the morgue

  5. I’ve never heard of Troye Jacobs, which may just be because I don’t have a subscription to the site(s) he performs on. He looks to be no older than 18, with no muscle definition. Performer of the Year? Ridiculous, IMO.

  6. I think Troye is very sexy, however, the story seems very strange. Nobody noticed he wasn’t in media publication but was included in the online vote??? If he was that popular why didn’t win any of his other nominations? Shame, guess the public won’t know who really won :(
