Balls Out! ‘Grease 2’ Wardrobe Malfunction Discovered Almost 40 Years After Original Release

If you’re one of those gays that’s obsessed with the iconically terrible 1982 film Grease 2, then you need to listen up. Almost 40 years after the film’s original release, a fan has discovered that the movie features an accidental nude scene with a background track runner and we’re officially shook.

Actor and YouTuber Justin Root took to Twitter on Saturday to share a short clip from the movie musical that appears to showcase “a wardrobe malfunction” from a background actor that’s running track.

The actor can be seen jumping over hurdles on the left side of the screen in a tank and shorts with the “malfunction” happening as he lands his second jump. It’s a real quick occurrence, but if you’re looking at the right time, you can see the runner’s floppy balls fall out of his skimpy running shorts as he exits the shot.

This wardrobe malfunction seems to be a widely undiscovered fun fact about the film, but Justin Root isn’t the first person to spot this man’s accidental genital appearance. While we couldn’t find any major news sites that reported on this important moment in cinematic history, one reply to Justin’ tweet did lead us to a random blog that talks about the actor’s balls and a theory on why the junk shot was left in the film.

“The best part is that this (fleeting glimpse) was left in the final cut,” reads the blog post. “Either no one noticed it or, more likely, no one could ever foresee the day when freeze-frame action on a remote control could allow a viewer to halt everything in mid ball-drop and enjoy the view!”

And yes, we went to watch Grease 2 on Amazon Prime real quick to make sure this junk shot is actually still in the film and it totally is!
