Beginners seems to be the most popular queer movie in the country with a whopping twelve states having it as their top film. Other popular movies that come out on top in multiple states include Blue Is The Warmest Color, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, and The Normal Heart.
23 movies on the list were most popular in one single state. Some notable picks from that bunch of films include Carol, Moonlight, and Call Me By Your Name.
