Here’s Scott Gurney, Creator of ‘Duck Dynasty,’ Before and After Playing a Gay-For-Pay Porn Star in ‘The Fluffer’

You may have heard last week that one of the creators of the incredibly popular, back-woods reality show Duck Dynasty is Scott Gurney, who starred in the 2001 film The Fluffer as a gay-for-pay porn star. Amid all the controversy about star Phil Robertson being a (not shockingly) bigoted, homophobic hick, we thought you should see what Scott looked like 12 years ago without his clothes on.

Long story short, no one should be surprised that Robertson doesn’t have progressive views about gay people. We should be surprised it took this long for Robertson’s real and passionate homophobia to surface given the huge popularity of this show.

According to his IMDB bio, Scott Gurney wants to be known as a producer and actor, for reality titles like Auction Hunters and Raven Symone: Raven’s Postcards From Spain. He’s carefully scrubbed The Fluffer from that bio, as well as his 5-year role as Zack on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

It remains to be seen if A&E will be able to salvage the show, far and away its biggest ratings draw ever, amidst this controversy, and honestly I could care less because it’s boring and I don’t watch it.

Gurney, however, I could watch more of. At least how he looked 12 years ago. Below, a stunning before and after… hey, it happens to the best of us. Then, a dramatic clip featuring Scott and co-star Michael Cunio in The Fluffer. Cunio plays Sean, a young film student who does the dirty work of blowing Gurney, who plays porn performer Johnny Rebel. And yes, he looks pretty sexy with that smooth chest and blond hair. (Sorry about the subtitles, and the lack of actual BJ action.)

Here’s a montage of Gurney being sexy as a brunette, in and out of a pool.

And here’e a GIF juxtaposing one of Robertson’s remarks on an image of Gurney.

  1. Mr. Enemabag Jones

Rumours are starting to circulate that the entire Robertson fiasco was planned by the family, and A&E. The shows rating were dipping this year, and their merch sales were off. The family approached A&E with this idea, followed through, and now their show is back on top. If this turns out to be true, and A&E was willing to let anti-gay bias be used to boost ratings among an anti-gay audience, then clearly there is something very wrong with America.

    1. He spoke freely. No one stopped him.

The first amendment gives you the right to flap your gums without government interference. It does NOT guarantee you an audience, or absolve you from the consequences of your speech. And when you speak out on a controversial topic, the folks on the other side of the issue can use THEIR first amendment rights to call you an asshole.

That being said, is it REALLY a surprise that a rural conservative Christian would have these views? And why in hell would the interviewer from GQ even ASK these questions unless he was going for this specific reaction? It is pretty easy to see that the guys from Duck Dynasty aren’t exactly representative of the GQ readership…So why exactly did they choose to interview this guy again?

Yeah, it’s understandable to be pissed-off at the comments…but c’mon, it is hardly newsworthy at this point that many so-called Christians have these views. I am more concerned at this new media hobby of asking EVERYBODY their opinions on hot-button topics just to get a juicy story angle, regardless of whether they have anything to do with the subject or not…

  2. Wow what a shame to let himself go like that! Reminds me of the before and after pictures of the original red ranger from the Power Rangers series, and no the after pic IS NOT that of the SC model.

And Goodman is right, it was the whole interview that he got suspended for. But to be honest, from what I read, it was the publicist’s fault as well. He accompanies Phil everywhere he goes for exactly who he is and what he says. He didn’t accompany Phil and the reporter on that specific interview.

There’s no telling the shit he says on the show that never gets aired, I’m sure it’s severely edited. Also I read that his suspension also has to do with how he treats the gay and lesbian employees on the show. He pretty much taunts and bullies them. So this was sort of the last straw. It honestly would not have been a big issue if he just said he doesn’t agree with gay marriage, but he had to bring in vaginas and bestiality into the mix, and never knowing how blacks were mistreated before civil rights movement. Just plain ignorant.

  3. From what little I’ve read, he had some comments on the blacks as well.
Didn’t read them but I’m heavily betting on them being true AF, my jigga.

  4. lol, I would be embarrassed too; not because I acted in those films, but because of the before and after pics you can find online.

That is what happens when you get married.
