“I think my time in the adult industry has come to an end…

…but I’m not making any official announcements. I consider this time to be very transitional for me, and there’s no clear way to go about making such a starkly contrasted change.”

Says Brent Corrigan, or as all of The Sword’s gay indie film fans might know him, Sean Paul Lockhart. That’s him with Chillerama director Tim Sullivan (who, at first glance, I thought was Corrigan’s former lover and business partner Grant Roy–LOL!), in an interview for The Advocate.

Unlike other porn stars, the king of all twinks refuses to make an official retirement announcement though, which is a relief. Not because the adult industry wouldn’t welcome him back either way if and when he decides to make a comeback, but because it’s annoying when people say they’re leaving forever and then they don’t actually leave. Corrigan smartly leaves the door open, ever so slightly.

Have any filmmakers asked you to use the name Brent Corrigan in order to capitalize on your adult following?
I realize this transition won’t happen over night. Right now my aim is to be credited as Sean Paul Lockhart, which is my birth name. But if for promotional reasons, filmmakers need to do the a.k.a. thing, I’m completely on board with that. It’s realistic. It only becomes a problem when a producer and director want me to do a raunchy sex scene in their already gimmicky film, and they only want me in their project because of what the Brent Corrigan brand can provide.

Will you continue doing adult work or do you hope to plant your feet in the mainstream world and stay there?
I don’t like to say “never” because — while “never” rolls off your tongue pretty easily — it hurts way too much when you end up with your foot in your mouth because of it. I have three big projects I’m shooting next year. In one, I play four roles. Another project isn’t even a gay film, and I get to play the villain.

  1. His acting is poor, I wish the guy the best but his acting is hard to watch. If he is smart he will exploit others as he allowed himself to be ( joking ). He’s not stupid but maybe with time he will figure it out. Tick tock.

  2. Good luck to him, I hope he makes the transition successfully. He’s intelligent and making considered decisions, probably against mainstream wisdom in these things. I’d love to see him make it in mainstream for a long time to come.

  3. Though “King of the Twinks” will be his legacy, I’m way more into him now that he’s grown into “twunk” status. ( I heard that somewhere. Trying it out.)

    1. There have been long standing and somewhat credible rumors that it was Traci Lords herself dropped the dime on herself about being underage to the FBI. Lords owns the one and only hardcore film she made right after she turned 18.

  4. I had figured as much since he hadn’t done any new projects in a while but I have to commend him for playing it the right way. that said, if he retired, I think he would have needed to do one last big scene. If only commercially it’d make a bundle
