Logo, Levi’s Seem to Think We Want to See More of Perez

Perez Hilton has stopped extorting sex for publicity long enough to make this nauseating video for their new “Unbuttoned” campaign. Considering the spokesmodel, “Bursting at the Seams” might be more appropriate.

The decision to pair up with Logo, home of the repugnant Nemesis Rising twins, is equally dubious. Is this really the same jeans company that paired up with pint-sized uber-hottie Gael Garcia Bernal to create one of our favorite ads of the 90s?

The kicker is that Levi’s has chosen a timeslot on Saturday between 1 and 3 in the morning for this new promotional campaign. It’s as if the company is playing matchmaker, setting up sordid dates between Perez Hilton and the men who spend Saturday night alone, watching bad cable. Someone from Levi’s told the New York Times that the company tries “to imagine what the world will be like 5, 10 years from now, and market the world that way today.” Those executives must be some pessimistic bastards.

The ad, below.

  1. I have no intention of ever defiling my eyes with that Perez ad. However, poor sheltered me had somehow NEVER seen Gael’s commercial before, and I just finished multiple viewings. Will be coming back to study it some more later. Thanks!
